ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN NEW JERSEY AND LOCAL SURROUNDING AREAS!!! Meet Winnie , a four-year-old Pekingese/Chihuahua mix who is ready to find her forever family! She recently had puppies and now it's her turn to be spoiled and cherished in a loving home. Winnie was rescued from a Northern New Jersey shelter, and she is truly a testament to resilience and the power of love. Delicious Food and Treats: She is highly food motivated, which is fantastic for training and bonding! Adventure Awaits: She adores going for car rides , making her an excellent companion for errands or road trips. Exploring the World: Walks are a highlight of her day, keeping her happy and active. Yard Time Fun: Sunbathing or simply sniffing around the perimeter, she enjoys her time in a secure yard . Her Person: Above all, Winnie thrives on the bond with her chosen person and gives incredible affection in return. Winnie is an incredible dog, but she is looking for an extraordinary home that is prepared to meet her specific needs. As a rescue, she needs a family that understands that she requires A LOT of time, patience, and love to truly blossom into her best, most confident self. A few important notes on Winnie's ideal placement: Winnie is looking for an adult-only home , as she does not get along with children . She needs to be the only pet in the household, as she is not dog or cat friendly. We require multiple meet and greets to ensure everyone is comfortable and that a deep bond can begin to form before adoption. Story
Yo-Yo has had a rough few weeks since coming to us but is finally starting to relax. This 3 year old was surrendered because he was being left along 14+ hours a day and no one had any time for him. He had a cherry eye and matted dreadlocks hanging from him, and was terrified and clearly not used to much handling. He’s never been on a leash (or when he was something bad definitely happened) and absolutely HATES them- as soon as he even sees a leash coming near him he instantly panics and try to bite to get it off of him. Without the leash he lets us pick him up easily and dances around for attention. He had a cherry eye repair and wasn’t happy about the cone on his neck or the vet staff or us trying to do eye drops while he was recovering, but now all has been forgiven since he is recovered. But he’s not the type of dog that really wants any one in his face too much or picking at him and will probably need sleepytime meds for grooming in the future. He seems to be some kind of Maltese/peke/Shih Tzu mix, under 15lbs and not a completely nonshedding coat so at least he doesn’t have to be groomed quite as often. He likes other dogs and follows them in and out of the fenced yard easily; while we don’t require it for all dogs, little Yo-Yo definitely needs offense due to his intense dislike of leashes at this point. He’s looking for an adult home that understands weird little dogs who don’t want to be messed with and will let him come for attention on his terms. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Lewis is a little bigger than his friends Lois and Clark. He is cautious of big dogs. He plays very well with small dogs. He loves to play and walks well on a leash. Loves toys and getting lots of rubs. He was very scared when he first came to the ranch. He has blossomed and become very confident and affectionate. He will be great with a family. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is located in the Texas Hill Country. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##2088929##
