Story
I first got Bama when he was a puppy and he's been with me through my middle and high school years. Sadly I'm moving far away to college so my family can no longer house him anymore. I would say he's a pretty active dog and loves to play so I would be aware of that when you think about him. He is so loving and amazing but is also protective. I would say he knows basic commands but you can definitely teach him new tricks and commands. He is ready for someone to love, play, and always be there for him. So if you think he's the right one for you please think about adopting him.

Story
Well I got Belle when my son came to live with me about 3 years ago. When he moved she became mine. Everything has been going well, but now she has arthritis and is having mobility issues. Im getting older and cannot handle her as well as I did before. Belle was adopted by my son since she was a 3yrs old. The story goes that she was a bait dog. The previous owners chopped her leg off to keep her from running away. Animal cruelty rescued her and other dogs.Belle is a very quiet and laid back dog. You would forget she is there. Thats how quiet she is. She never barks. The only time I heard her bark was when we seen a horse. Belle love her food. Her ears goes up and she starts wagging her tail. She is up to date on her shots. But she is having issues getting up I have been using harness type thing to help her when she cannot go any futher. I believe she can do more with someone who have more time for her. I would like for her to live a better life than I can offer.

Story
Buddy is the sweetest dog I could have ever asked for. I adopted him from a shelter since he was scheduled for euthanasia , and I’ve been in love with him ever since. He absolutely loves people, enjoys cuddling, and has the kindest, most affectionate personality. He’s great with other dogs and always wants to make new friends. Unfortunately, despite all of his wonderful qualities, he doesn’t seem to get along with my cats. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I want to do what’s best for him and for my cats. I’m looking for a loving home with no cats where Buddy can get all the attention, love, and time he deserves. He would thrive with someone who can give him plenty of affection, companionship, and the happy life he deserves.

Story
Kreed is a German Shepherd with a big heart and a ton of energy. He’s gentle and patient with kids, so he does great in a family setting, and he’s happiest when he’s around his people.Give him a ball and some open space and he’s in heaven. Fetch is his favorite game, and he’d spend all day outdoors exploring if he could. He’s a smart dog who’s picked up plenty of tricks, and he’s fully potty trainedI want to be honest about why I’m rehoming him: it’s nothing he did wrong. I love Kreed, but my schedule has changed and he deserves more time and attention than I’m able to give him right now. He needs someone who can walk him, play with him, and give him the active life he thrives on.If you’ve got room for an affectionate, smart, energetic dog who’ll be a loyal companion, I’d love for you to meet him. I think he’d make someone a great best friend.

Story
Meet Buddy! A handsome seven-year-old Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix from Frazee, MN, whose essence is a calm, loyal heart wrapped in a beautiful white and apricot coat. He is the kind of companion who makes every day brighter, whether he is exploring a wooded trail, happily chasing a tennis ball, or curling up beside his favorite people for a well-earned snuggle! Buddy has wonderful manners, is house trained, and has completed formal obedience training, proudly responding to commands like sit, stay, come, down, off, paw, shake, nudge, drop, and fetch. His intelligence shines through in everything he does, and he genuinely enjoys learning while spending time with the people he loves. Buddy's easygoing personality has helped him become compatible with an impressive variety of friends. He has lived comfortably alongside children, another dog, several cats, a turkey, and even a flock of chickens, making him just as happy in the country as he is in a neighborhood with room for daily adventures. Car rides and swimming are among his favorite outings, and he especially enjoys being included wherever life takes his family. Having previously worked as a service dog, he thrives when he can stay close to his favorite person and be part of everyday activities! Like many devoted companions, Buddy prefers a predictable routine but can also adapt when life changes. He would do best with a family who understands that he feels most secure when he is included instead of being left alone in a locked crate. He sometimes gives gentle attention-seeking nips, simply sharing his strong opinions in his own clever way. He also receives medication to manage a suspected skin condition affecting his nose, while the rest of his health evaluations, including his hips and elbows, have been excellent. Daily brushing, monthly baths, and regular dental care help keep him feeling his best. Because he enjoys exploring and can jump fences, a secure fenced yard is important! Buddy is ready to share unwavering companionship, laughter, and countless adventures with a loving family who welcomes him as an everyday partner. Could Buddy be the loyal friend who joins your next adventure? If you’re interested in providing Buddy with a loving home, please email meetme@joyfulpets.com for more information about adopting him! Please note that Buddy is currently in foster care through one of our trusted rescue partners and will remain with his foster family until the right match is found. Because rescue-partner pets are managed directly by their respective organizations, their adoption process, requirements, and fees may differ from Joyful Pets’ direct rehoming program. Our team will be happy to connect you with the rescue and help guide you through their process to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Story
Meet Bowie! A loyal five-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd/Siberian Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix currently in Castle Rock, CO, whose gentle spirit shines through his striking tricolor coat and unwavering devotion to the people he loves. At 65 pounds, Bowie is a calm, affectionate companion who finds happiness in life's simple pleasures, whether he is soaking up the sunshine, taking a leisurely walk, or curling up with one of his favorite stuffed animals for a cozy nap. He also has a charming Husky-inspired way of "talking," often greeting his favorite people with playful howls that are sure to make you smile! Bowie has completed formal obedience training and proudly knows commands like sit, down, shake, and circle. He travels beautifully, enjoys car rides, comes when called, and settles peacefully when left alone, often choosing a quiet place to relax until his family returns. His easygoing energy makes him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys a predictable routine and appreciates a dog who is just as happy lounging on the deck as he is exploring the neighborhood. Like many thoughtful dogs, Bowie communicates when he needs space. He has experienced two bite incidents after being unexpectedly hurt or startled when someone accidentally stepped on or fell onto him. Outside of those very specific situations, he is loving, playful, and deeply connected with his trusted people. His guardians have also worked extensively with a professional trainer to successfully address earlier leash reactivity, and he has done very well since then! Bowie thrives in a calm, adults-only home with a low-key lifestyle, thoughtful introductions to visitors, and consistent routines. While he happily shared life with a cat for many years, he needs to be the only dog in his next family. He is healthy, neutered, microchipped, house-trained, current on vaccinations, and eats Hill's Science Diet food to support his sensitive stomach. Bowie has so much companionship, loyalty, and quiet joy to share with the right family. If you are looking for a faithful friend who will happily accompany you through peaceful days and cozy evenings, Bowie may be waiting to meet you!
