Story
Meet Mama Karen! Mama Karen is great on a leash.  She has been around cats before and is a bit scared of them, but could be okay in a house with cats with some training. Kate is a 5 year old Plott Hound/Rottweiler mix who weighs 47 pounds. She loves to run and romp in open fields and laze around most of the day inside. She has great house manners. While she's not used to being left alone all day, on the occasions when it is necessary she does fine with it, and will greet you affectionately upon your return. At most she will go and find your slipper or shoe and keep it close to her until you return, but she never chews it or destroys them. She loves tummy rubs and will let you know when she has had enough by going back to her pillow. Kate would do better in a home without children--she's safe around them but prefers low-key attention. She also would do best with an enclosed yard as she prefers to do her business in private, rather than on the leash. She is a loyal companion and would be perfect for someone who likes loyal, low-key companionship and can take her often to big open spaces to run, though she also enjoys walks on the leash. She is potty trained and crate trained! She is a delightful cuddlebug that is super loyal and smart, and who loves to be with her people so. Karen also loves to go for walks but is not hyper and can usually be found curled up on a blanket.  She does great on car rides and LOVES to go everywhere with you. All her puppies have found their homes now it's time for her to find a family that will love her forever. To set up a meeting please email us at info@mamcorescue.org.  ##726116##

Story
Sweet and playful Estrella is eager to love and be loved. She is especially fond of going for walks and is eager to show you how well she walks in heel. She is mostly house-trained and after a minute or two will settle down nicely for a nap in her crate when left alone. Motivated by food and love, she accepts treats gently and knows all of her commands such as "come", "sit", "down", "place", "stay", "no", and "off". Estrella is quite the weekend warrior, going for long summer hikes, but is equally happy to curl up on her person's lap and cuddle while they read a book or watch TV together. She is up for almost anything as long as she gets to be with her human. Estrella has so much love to give that she needs to be the only pup and would do best without any other furry companions. She's eager to find an equally loving home that will keep her constructively active fur-ever and treat her like the star she is! See additional photos of Estrella here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $300 . Our adoption fee covers the following: - Spay/neuter - Microchip - DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. - Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Hi, I’m Dunkin! I am a very energetic and playful 11-month-old male Plott Hound mix. I love to play with other dogs my size and go for a lot of walks! I would like a home with an active family and lots of room to play and run. When I get tired, I am very affectionate and like to snuggle. I don’t really like cats, they are just too small. I love kids, and I'm working on not jumping as I do get excited to see them. I am very smart and know the word “no.” One of my favorite things to show off is I can give my paw when asked! I rest in my crate when my foster parents are at work, and sometimes like to sleep in it at night. I am quiet in my crate. I need dog toys to keep me occupied, please! I'm up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Apply to meet me today! Story
Lisa was a last minute addition to our transport list when we got an urgent plea for a rescue to tag her. As soon as we saw her pictures we couldn’t resist and made room for her. She is thought to be just under a year old and a hound mix (possibly plott hound?). Lisa can be extremely timid at first but is also conflicted because she really wants attention, which results in adorable, nervous, booty wiggles. Once she warms up she is absolutely certain she can fit in your lap and just wants to be loved on. Her last facility said she had the best puppy dog eyes and they were right. Lisa could really use a foster home until she gets adopted, if you want to apply to foster or adopt Lisa go to Lolasrescue.com under available animals   ##1841855##

Story
Finn is truly an amazing dog. He is sweet, cuddly, friendly and loves to play. Finn has always been great around older kids who understand how to be around dogs. We are rehoming him due to having a toddler, he is just not comfortable with. He has never bitten anyone or another dog. He is great with dogs he knows but is dog reactive on a leash, so that’s why we put unknown under good with dogs. He would make an amazing adventure buddy for a young couple with no small kids. He loves you with everything he has got and we truly wish we could keep him. He is up to date on all medical care, potty trained and crate trained. He knows basic commands. We can provide you with all of Finn’s supplies to ensure a good start.

Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1837923##
