Story
Introducing Tiger! Tiger was saved from the euthanasia list at ACS in San Antonio in January. A little back story on him…get your tissues ready…this poor guy has had a terrible life. The kind soul who saved him from being euthanized lived next door to Tiger and helped take care of him his whole life. Tiger’s owner passed away a couple of months ago, and the owner’s girlfriend surrendered Tiger to ACS. His owner had him tied up outside all his life. He was always neglected and infested with fleas. Often the neighbor found herself having to feed and give him water because his owner would not. Despite living in such miserable conditions, in those moments of offering Tiger care, she said he was the sweetest and most caring dog and when she found out he had been surrendered, she could not let him lose his life. He deserves the chance to know love and be loved.  Tiger is an older gentleman. He’s 9 years old and weighs in at 80 pounds. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and current on both flea & tick and heartworm prevention. He’s goofy, gentle, and playful for his age. He’s great with anyone he meets and other dogs too but would do best in a home without cats. Tiger is ready to find a family who is going to shower him with love and let him live out his golden years.  Could you be his hero? redfernanimalrescue.org/adopt ##1991538##

Story
How this little munckhin wound up in a shelter is mind blowing. He's the cutest, silliest little thing. A lover of life he is living this life of his to the fullest. He is currently living with two other dogs and can carry his weight, is making progress on his house and crate training as well as other little tricks like knowing the dog door and how to sit.   He's still very much a puppy but would be good in any home! He is currently living with Frieda and two other dogs and doing great! To meet this handsome fellow, go to www.eapl.com and fill out an application.July 24, 2024, 8:21 am

Story
Doc is certainly a character! Big and kinda goofy, Doc is playful, friendly, energetic, loving, and all-around fun. He loves to play fetch and knows a few tricks as well. He's a good walker, he adores treats, he's house-trained, and he'll make a great companion for an active owner. Doc will need a slow intro to his new home, and we recommend no shared walls.July 23, 2024, 9:15 pm

Story
Meet Apollo, an 8-month-old bundle of energy and joy! This rambunctious pup loves to play and is always ready for an adventure. Apollo`s enthusiasm is contagious, and he`ll keep you entertained with his playful antics. However, he needs a cat-free home as he loves to chase them. He has met another dog and is a rude pushy player, so bring your pups in to see if they are meant to be best buds. Due to his rambunctious nature he is best suited for a home with older children. If you`re looking for a lively and fun-loving companion who will fill your days with laughter and love, Apollo is the perfect match for you! What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended* No cats

Story
Sweet and playful 4 year old Estrella is eager to love and be loved. At 45 pounds she is especially fond of going for walks and is eager to show you how well she walks in heel. She is mostly house-trained and after a minute or two will settle down nicely for a nap in her crate when left alone. Motivated by food and love, she accepts treats gently and knows all of her commands such as "come", "sit", "down", "place", "stay", "no", and "off". Estrella is quite the weekend warrior, going for long summer hikes, but is equally happy to curl up on her person's lap and cuddle while they read a book or watch TV together. She is up for almost anything as long as she gets to be with her human. Estrella has so much love to give that she needs to be the only pup and would do best without any other furry companions. She's eager to find an equally loving home that will keep her constructively active fur-ever and treat her like the star she is! See additional photos of Estrella here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
