Story
Meet Otto Part hiking buddy, part cuddle monster, part tiny detective with a nose that misses absolutely nothing. Our best guess is Otto will grow into a handsome 50–70 lb adventure dog. Mom looked like a Plott Hound mix, dad looked like a Border Collie/Boxer mix, and Otto somehow got the best traits from everyone — smart, goofy, athletic, snuggly, and just chaotic enough to keep life interesting. Originally from Kansas, he’s settling into home life like a pro. Otto is crazy smart — he solved a food puzzle on day one that other foster dogs never figured out. He’s highly food motivated and already learning commands quickly. He can sit, shake, and roll over, and he’s always excited to learn new tricks for snacks. Crate training is going really well, and he’s become pretty comfortable relaxing in his crate. Potty training is also coming along nicely — he’s only had a couple accidents here and there and is making great progress. Personality-wise, Otto is equal parts rambunctious chaos gremlin and professional nap cuddler. When he’s ready to play, he’s cheeky, energetic, and full of zoomies. When he crashes, he wants to be curled up right next to his humans. He loves following people around like a very committed intern. Otto is socializing well with both humans and dogs, though he’s still very much a puppy and gets overexcited sometimes — expect enthusiastic jumping, puppy antics, and plenty of puppy bites while he learns boundaries. He absolutely lights up around kids, but because he’s still in his bitey puppy era, he’d do best with a family that understands normal puppy behavior. His current hobbies include: Investigating the yard like it’s a crime scene, Causing mild chaos, Getting the zoomies at full speed, Learning tricks for snacks, Passing out mid-adventure while cuddling you If you’re looking for a smart, hilarious, affectionate adventure buddy who will keep you laughing and keep your couch warm, Otto’s your guy. ##2720182##

Story
Meet Todd — or as his foster lovingly calls him, Big Head Todd And honestly? The name fits. Todd’s got a giant noggin, giant paws, and an equally giant personality to match. Our best guess is that this handsome goofball will grow into a 50–70 lb adventure buddy. Mom looked like a Plott Hound mix, dad looked like a Border Collie/Boxer mix, and Todd somehow inherited the best traits from everyone: smart, playful, cuddly, athletic, and just the right amount of lovable chaos. Originally from Kansas, Todd is settling into home life like a total pro. He’s equal parts fearless explorer and professional couch potato. One minute he’s zooming around the yard playing tug-of-war like it’s the Puppy Olympics, and the next he’s passed out snoring dramatically in the middle of the room like he just worked a double shift. Todd is curious, brave, and eager to learn. He’s making great progress with potty training and picks things up quickly — especially if treats or praise are involved. At night, he sleeps quietly in his crate for up to 7 hours and will politely let you know if he needs a potty break with a few tiny whines instead of full-blown puppy theatrics. His foster says Todd’s favorite routine is: Cause harmless chaos Get the zoomies Fall asleep directly on your feet Repeat forever. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will make you laugh daily, keep life entertaining, and then snuggle up beside you like the world’s sweetest oversized baby, Big Head Todd is ready to move in and steal your heart. ##2720177##

Story
Big heart. Wiggly tail. Endless potential. That’s Miley. If sunshine had a personality, it would probably look a lot like Miley. She’s equal parts curious explorer, playful goofball, and professional cuddle bug. Our best guess is Miley will grow into a beautiful 50–70 lb adventure buddy. Mom looked like a Plott Hound mix, dad looked like a Border Collie/Boxer mix, and Miley somehow inherited the best parts of everyone — smart, goofy, athletic, snuggly, and just the right amount of chaos. Originally from Kansas, this sweet girl is settling into home life beautifully. Miley is already showing off her brains and charm. She knows “sit,” confidently tackles stairs, and is improving on leash walks every day. She’s almost potty trained, sleeps well in her crate overnight, and only wakes you up for important business (like late-night potty breaks and being adorable). She loves sunny spots by the window, wrestling with her dog friends, and playing hard before collapsing into dramatic puppy naps. She’s thriving in a multi-dog home and would love a family ready for adventures, laughs, and lots of snuggles. If you’re looking for a smart, silly best friend with a sunny personality and an extremely boopable face, Miley might just be your girl. ##2717740##

Story
Meet Issy! This sweet, sensitive gal just adores other dogs and would likely enjoy a playmate in her new home. Issy has been known to chase (and even catch) a squirrel or two, so HSBV is recommending she not go home with any resident cats. She loves to play fetch and go for long walks! Sometimes Issy doesn`t realize her size, so we`re suggesting she not go home with kids under 6 - but bring your family down to see if she`s a match for you!

Story
Sam is a 6-year-old, 85-pound affectionate and deeply loyal dog who forms a strong bond with his person. He loves to cuddle, be close, and is happiest in a calm, structured environment. Sam enjoys walks though he can still pull at times. He benefits from regular exercise and mental stimulation to help him stay balanced and happy. Sam requires a very specific home to be successful. He must be the only pet, no dogs or cats, and should not be placed in a home without children. Sam can be cautious and sometimes reactive with new people, as he is very protective and forms strong attachments. Sam is strong-willed, and needs an experienced owner who can provide consistency, boundaries, and a low-stimulation environment. He is a sweet, devoted companion in the right setting, but he is not a fit for every home. His ideal match is someone patient, experienced, and able to give him both the structure and outlet he needs to thrive.
