Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 17, 2024, 5:52 pm

Story
Extremely Sweet and Loving Our super sweet Hank was captured by animal control along with his two sisters. His guy is 100% Plott Hound, and has the greatest personality. We can only place him in a home without other male dogs, because being of a working mindset, Hank does on occasion have issues with male dogs. But, he is great with female companions of all sorts. Hank would love to have an active home so he can stretch those beautiful legs with his new forever family. BTW, his sisters are now residing with their super forever family in Canada.

Story
Meet Holly.  Holly has been through some rough times starting with being pregnant in a rural shelter where she and the babies would likely not make it out.  She was driven by wonderful volunteers from Alabama to our rescue where Holly went into labor during the drive and gave birth to 8 puppies.  Holly raised her puppies and then we discovered she had heartworm and would have to go through the long process of treatment.  Such a super hero dog who trusted all of us to make her well again.  Holly is a 2-3 yo hound mix weighing about 45 pounds.  She is housebroken, loves to give love and receive love.  She loves to play with the dogs in her foster home like a playful puppy.  She is good with cats as you can see and might chase but listens to corrections and can even sleep with them.Holly will need a fenced yard as she likes to explore so we also have taught her the word “stay”..Please give Holly the furever home she is looking for and deserves after her long journey with our rescue.  if you would like to meet Holly the super hero dog.Her adoption fee is $150.00. If you are interested in adopting Holly,  please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1915154##

Story
Are you looking for a handsome and distinguished pup? Well, look no further than Stanley! Stanley is a well-trained 7 and a half year-old pooch who weighs in at 55 pounds. He was found as a stray with an old eye injury that doesn't slow him down one bit. In addition to being extremely good looking, Stanley is also quite smart! He’s completed a board and train program, with lifetime follow-ups available to support his training. Stanley thrives with structure and will do best with an owner who can maintain that environment. An adventurous spirit, Stanley loves car rides and is a wonderful companion for outdoor activities, especially long hikes where he shines on a leash. He’s even gone camping before. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Stan is your man! Stanley gets along with other dogs, though he usually prefers females to males. He has also lived with cats before.  Stanley is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, so he's ready to move in if you'll have him! If you're interested in meeting Stanley, visit EHRDOGS.ORG and submit an application. Don't forget to ask for STANLEY MARTIN STEELE!June 17, 2024, 11:05 pm

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Levi is a super sweet small-framed hound boy. He’s about 10-12 months old and 40 lb but can sing with the best of them. Levi’s ideal home has another dog pal as he doesn’t have a ton of confidence on his own yet. He’s very silly and playful and mixes and mingles with other dogs very well. His foster says he’s the very best boy.   Levi is a dream in the crate. At night, he tucks himself in when he’s ready for bed. True to his breed, he has selective hearing when he picks up a scent and is working on recall in his foster home. He would love a fenced yard in his forever home for running around and sunbathing.   This goofy boy is sure to bring a smile to your face! Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to meet Levi and find out if he’s the dog for you.   (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com.
