Story
Meet Goose – the handsome, 10 month old, Plott Hound mix, who is quite an interesting guy.  The breed itself, is the official State Dog of North Carolina and what an honor!  In one North Carolina county there are two Plott Hounds that are Commissioned Deputies.  To be honest we can’t say that Goose is a Barney Fife, because this boy is extremely intelligent, loyal, calm and affectionate.  Our handsome Goose loves the outdoors and is open for any adventure or hiking trail that you want to conquer.  His owner moved and unfortunately the landlord said; “no dogs”, so it was NO GOOSE.  He is in a loving foster home right now, but he needs a safe haven of his own to call home.  Goose is excellent with children, very trustworthy, and is a great and loving family companion.  He is still a baby (under a year) and looking for that family to grow up with.  Goose has been neutered, UTD on all shots, HW prevention and microchipped.  He weighs roughly 45 pounds, and still has some growing to do and probably another 10 pounds will be the additional weight.  Wait until you meet him in person – his pictures do not do him justice as his coat is stunningly rippled with the unique brindle coloring that everyone’s eye is drawn to when in a crowd.  He is a standout in every way as a dog and as a wonderful personality.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Tell us where you live please.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 1, 2023, 9:29 am

Story
Meet Nubby, the warm and friendly plot hound mix looking for his forever home! Nubby was surrendered to the rescue after his previous home caught fire, and his mom's housing situation changed. But he's now ready to find a new loving family to call his own. Nubby is a very social dog and loves being around people. He currently lives with another dog and a cat, so he's used to being around other animals. He's also an active dog who loves to go on walks and long hikes, but he also enjoys snuggling on the couch with his human companions. One of Nubby's cutest features is his nubby tail that he wags every time he sees someone. He's very food-motivated, which makes training him easier. He loves car rides and is happy to go wherever his new family takes him. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who enjoys both outdoor adventures and indoor cuddles, Nubby is the guy for you. Don't miss out on the chance to adopt this amazing dog and give him the forever home he deserves.  If you are interested in adopting Nubby and would like to provide the loving home this boy deserves, please contact Mostly Muttz! You can apply at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. ##1629955##

Story
Hi there, I'm Rocco! I was found as a stray so my friends here don't know any background information on me. I have a lot of energy so a family that can help me get my energy out is a must! I'm still young so I am working on my manners. It may take me a few meets to warm up to you, I can be unsure of new people at first. I wouldn't mind sharing my forever home with another dog! If you are unable to adopt, please consider helping support Rocco and his friends by clicking on the donate button below his profile. It would be pawsitively awesome!

Story
Carolina is a beautiful well behaved plott hound. She loves walks and chewing her bone. She loves to snuggle up next you. She is 4 years old. She sometimes has trouble with other dominant dogs. But get along with most dogs no problem. She's a great dog and I hope to find her a great home. Unfortunately I cannot take her with me on my next journey in life. So please help give her the love and life she deserves.

Story
Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Banjo requires a fenced in yard and an active adopter. If you are interested in adopting Banjo, please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application.  ##386437##

Story
Meet Rosie: Rosie is a 7 month old (as of March 2023) plott hound mix that weighs about 45 pounds. Rosie was abandoned in rural Mississippi near the home of a rescuer who luckily found her and brought her in to safety! She was taken to the vet and cared for and is currently in a foster home in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to meet more prospective families. Rosie is very sweet and gets along with people, dogs and cats. We would love for Rosie to have a home with a fenced in yard to run and play freely. We are unsure if Rosie is house trained, but will be assessing. Rosie is up to date on her shots and spayed. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. ##1657438##
