Story

Luna is turning 9 soon. She has been with us for several years now. She is good with kids. Good with cats. She has been boarded before and mostly gets along with other dogs. She can be territorial when it comes to bones (we avoid) and toys around other dogs though. I previously listed her on here but after some interest from potential adopters I decided to keep her to see if we could make things work. Due to change in family dynamics and increased work demand, I don’t have the same time I used to in giving her attention and taking her on walks. I’m reluctantly listing her again to see if I can find someone who would have more time to dedicate to her and love to give.Luna currently has a fenced in yard, so that would be ideal. She doesn’t bark or howl, extremely rare. We try to limit treats she gets because they tend to make her stool soft. We give her a cranberry supplement with her food daily.Luna is very affectionate and loves attention. Need someone who can dedicate time to her.

Thanks to the care she received, Judy made a full recovery and has shown incredible resilience every step of the way. It would be heartbreaking for Judy's journey to end on June 26 after surviving what she did. Help us get her out of the shelter and save her life!! Judy has proven she is a survivor. Now she needs someone willing to give her the future she fought so hard to have. ❤️‍🩹 Medical: Heartworm Negative, Bordetella, DHPP, Rabies 📅 Deadline: June 26 (to spring her from the shelter...she is not in the rescue yet) After everything Judy has survived, she deserves a happy ending—not a deadline. Please share, foster, adopt, or even a foster to adopt. Her life depends on it.

Story

Meet Junior! He is as sweet as can be! He loves people, kids and dogs. While in the shelter, he was also friendly with cats. This boy is excited to meet anyone! Overall, Junior seems to be a pretty mellow puppy who really enjoys chewing on bones, exploring and snuggling. He is doing a great job going potty outside and is learning to use his crate for resting and nighttime. He is vocal for a few minutes and then quickly settles himself down. At 10 weeks old and he 15 Ibs he seems like he may be a medium sized dog. His breed is unknown but best guess is plott hound mixed with smaller breed (s). Junior will need a family who can offer patience, consistency and commitment while he is learning all of the good-boy behaviors. In return he will give unconditional love and so many smiles! If you are interested in Junior please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com! Almost Home Dog Rescue Inc Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US!
