Story
Xena is a 3-year-old Plott Hound mix weighing 52 pounds. A delightful girl, she came to us from a family who didn't want her or her ten puppy litter. How sad! But of course that's where we came in. Xena's foster says she is sweet, affectionate, playful, great with other dogs and very food motivated. (Better keep a box of bones around the house!) This girl who has been treated for heartworm would make a great addition to your family! "You can read more about Xena's story here: https://www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org/rescue-stories/mom-knows-best (posted 11/1/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **November 1, 2025, 11:58 am

Story
A malnourished mom and her 6 newborn puppies were found by the side of a road. Unfortunately 2 of her babies passed away but Tilley and her other 3 daughters (Tess, Trixie, & Tula) and 1 son (Toby) - were brought to a vet and taken into rescue where they thrived. Tilley has been a great Mom to her puppies and now they are weaned and ready to find their forever homes. The puppies are all social, playful and happy. They get along with people and other dogs. We do not know what they think of cats. They are about 3 months old and 10-12 pounds. Please help Trixie find the loving home she deserves. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Story
Tilley was found by the side of the road with 6 newborn puppies. Unfortunately 2 of the puppies did not survive. Tilley and her remaining pups, Tess, Trixy, Toby & Tula, were taken to the vet to be checked. Tilley was very underweight at 30 pounds but with lots of good, nourishing food, treats and love, Tilley has flourished. She is sweet, loving and just a wonderful girl. Tilley has also been an awesome, loving mom to her babies. Now that her babies are weaned and she has been spayed, it is time for everyone to find their forever homes. Tilley is about 1-2 year old and 43 pounds. Please help Tilley find the loving home she deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat.
