She`s a staff favorite here at the shelter - full of life, love, and a whole lot of puppy-like enthusiasm, even as she’s grown older. This happy-go-lucky girl is always ready for an adventure. She’s got the energy to run for miles and would thrive with an active adopter who can keep up with her zest for life. But don’t worry - Berry isn’t all zoomies. After her bursts of energy, she’s quick to curl up for cuddles and loves to be pet. She even takes treats gently and will sit on command, especially if she knows there’s some affection coming her way.Berry is still working through her puppyish manners - she’s a bit of an overgrown puppy who just can’t contain her joy. She may jump up on you, or be mouthy in her excitement. She doesn’t mean to be naughty - she just thinks it’s all a fun game and she’s always so thrilled to be hanging out with you! With consistent guidance and patience Berry can continue to build on the progress she made in a past foster home, where she learned potty training and basic commands. Introducing Claire (fka St. Clair)!! Claire is a BEAUTIFUL brindle labbie mix. Sweet Claire was rescued from the same cruelty situation as her brother, Frank, abandoned outside after their owners moved away. Unfortunately like so many other amazing dogs in Houston, Frank and Claire both found themselves on the euthanasia list due to time and space. Scouts Honor stepped in after first meeting Frank, knowing we could NOT leave his sister behind!! Claire is a little shy, but loves other dogs just like her brother Frank. They are not a bonded pair- so can go to separate homes! We think she’s around 4-5 years old and probably should be closer to 60lbs once she puts on some weight! She is very eager to please, loves treats, and would be the perfect companion in any home. We are excited to give this dog a second chance at life to know the love she truly deserves.
