Introducing Claire (fka St. Clair)!! Claire is a BEAUTIFUL brindle labbie mix. Sweet Claire was rescued from the same cruelty situation as her brother, Frank, abandoned outside after their owners moved away. Unfortunately like so many other amazing dogs in Houston, Frank and Claire both found themselves on the euthanasia list due to time and space. Scouts Honor stepped in after first meeting Frank, knowing we could NOT leave his sister behind!! Claire is a little shy, but loves other dogs just like her brother Frank. They are not a bonded pair- so can go to separate homes! We think she’s around 4-5 years old and probably should be closer to 60lbs once she puts on some weight! She is very eager to please, loves treats, and would be the perfect companion in any home. We are excited to give this dog a second chance at life to know the love she truly deserves. Claire would LOVE to be in a forever home! Let's show Claire love she’s never experienced before! Hi! My name is Jekyll and I'm a recent college graduate! Ok, so it’s not college exactly, but let’s not diminish my accomplishments. I just finished an 8 week training program and I feel like a brand new man. I mean, I'm practically a champion walker! I walked all crazy ziggy-zaggy at first but now walks with me are a breeze. I never have potty accidents, and I also know how to sit, lay down, wait, leave it, and go to my “place.” Waiting is really hard because everything is so exciting, but I'll do it because I want to make you happy. I love running around outside and playing fetch with one of my many tennis balls. I love other dogs, and cats too, but I don't think they like me as much as I like them. I'm just so excited to see them! And I want to play! Playing is my favorite. I would LOVE if my new forever home had another canine friend to match my energy that I could play with. It would be neat if they liked to do fun stuff outside a lot, too. My foster family found me near their house where I was trying to play with cars(they do not play nicely) so I'm happy that I'm safe and sound now. What do you say, can we be best friends? My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX or I can be transported out of state for $550 (includes health certificate and travel fee). I am up to date on my vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. My dog is a catahoula mixed breed. His name is Simba and he LOVES being active outside and playing especially playing fetch with tennis balls and playing with the water hose. He is 9 years old and in good shape but he is an anxious dog because of a bad experience with a trainer. He gets nervous around men and he’s scared of rain and thunderstorms but at heart he is a friendly dog so patience and a gentle hand will go a long way with him. He gets nervous with metal items so be careful to not make loud noises and he is also nervous when he is given food but he eats it just fine. He has potiental to be crate trained and knows basic tricks including the hand shake trick. He is in SERIOUS need of a home because I’m not able to be taken care of anymore.
