Hi! My name is Jekyll and I'm an energetic puppy who's looking for an adventure buddy. I love running around outside and playing fetch with one of my many tennis balls. I just know there’s so much of the great outdoors left to explore! I love other dogs and cats but I don't think they like me as much as I like them. I'm just so excited to see them! And I want to play! Playing is my favorite. When I’m not playing fetch or being chased around the yard, I have lots of toys and I’m always up for a game of tug-of-war. I'm still trying to figure out what I am and am not allowed to put my mouth on, but I'm learning! My foster mom says I'm in my "terrible twos," but I'm not even one yet so I don't know WHAT she's talking about. I mean, I'm practically a champion walker! I walked all crazy ziggy-zaggy at first but now walks with me are a breeze. I never have potty accidents, and I also know how to sit, lay down, wait, and leave it. Waiting is really hard because everything is so exciting, but I'll do it because I want to make you happy. I need lots of exercise to get my wiggles out so it would be great if my forever family liked to do fun stuff outside a lot. My foster family found me near their house where I was trying to play with cars(they do not play nicely) so I'm happy that I'm safe and sound now. What do you say, can I be your adventure buddy? My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX or I can be transported out of state for $550 (with health certificate and travel fee). I am up to date on my vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. From the moment you meet her, Kira’s gentle spirit shines through. She’ll often greet you by calmly sitting at her kennel door, ready to head out for an adventure. She has a low to medium energy level overall, but when the squeaky toys come out, it’s game on! She loves to zoom around, toss them in the air, and entertain herself with the silliest of play sessions. She has tons of fun doing it, and while she does like to keep her toys and continue the party, she’s happy to trade for a treat when playtime is over. Kira had originally came into the shelter injured, limping on one of her legs. But you wouldn’t be able to tell that now! She’s since healed up beautifully and walks and runs just fine. She already knows how to sit for a treat and takes them gently from your hand. Kira also loves attention and being pet, and she’ll rotate and lean into you to make sure you’re getting all the best scratch spots. She truly enjoys being close to people, and has done well around children in a previous foster home. She would need to be the only dog in the household though, as she’s not her best self around other dogs.If you’re looking for a sweet, playful girl, Kira is ready to meet you.

Introducing Claire (fka St. Clair)!! Claire is a BEAUTIFUL brindle labbie mix. Sweet Claire was rescued from the same cruelty situation as her brother, Frank, abandoned outside after their owners moved away. Unfortunately like so many other amazing dogs in Houston, Frank and Claire both found themselves on the euthanasia list due to time and space. Scouts Honor stepped in after first meeting Frank, knowing we could NOT leave his sister behind!! Claire is a little shy, but loves other dogs just like her brother Frank. They are not a bonded pair- so can go to separate homes! We think she’s around 4-5 years old and probably should be closer to 60lbs once she puts on some weight! She is very eager to please, loves treats, and would be the perfect companion in any home. We are excited to give this dog a second chance at life to know the love she truly deserves. Cal is a soft, soulful boy. He came in as a stray with a microchip, but unfortunately he was never reclaimed. With his snowy white coat sprinkled with orange spots and his mismatched eyes (one blue, one brown), Cal is as striking as he is sweet, and he’s so ready to belong to someone willing to soak up all the love he has to give. Cal is great on a leash, and walks beautifully without pulling. He’s very gentle overall, and has a calm, lower energy level. He’d much rather soak up your attention and affection than run around and play. What he really loves is love! Cal can be a bit timid, but he’s incredibly gentle. He just wants to be as close to you as possible. He’ll sit quietly by your side for as long as you’ll pet him. He’ll happily offer a few kisses too! He seems to think he’d make a great lap dog, and he’s got lots of cuddles to offer to prove it. Cal is a tender, affectionate soul who’s looking for a person who just wants to love and be loved.
