Hi! My name is Jekyll and I'm an energetic puppy who's looking for an adventure buddy. I love running around outside and playing fetch with one of my many tennis balls. I just know there’s so much of the great outdoors left to explore! I love other dogs and cats but I don't think they like me as much as I like them. I'm just so excited to see them! And I want to play! Playing is my favorite. When I’m not playing fetch or being chased around the yard, I have lots of toys and I’m always up for a game of tug-of-war. I'm still trying to figure out what I am and am not allowed to put my mouth on, but I'm learning! My foster mom says I'm in my "terrible twos," but I'm not even one yet so I don't know WHAT she's talking about. I mean, I'm practically a champion walker! I walked all crazy ziggy-zaggy at first but now walks with me are a breeze. I never have potty accidents, and I also know how to sit, lay down, wait, and leave it. Waiting is really hard because everything is so exciting, but I'll do it because I want to make you happy. I need lots of exercise to get my wiggles out so it would be great if my forever family liked to do fun stuff outside a lot. My foster family found me near their house where I was trying to play with cars(they do not play nicely) so I'm happy that I'm safe and sound now. What do you say, can I be your adventure buddy? Introducing Claire (fka St. Clair)!! Claire is a BEAUTIFUL brindle labbie mix. Sweet Claire was rescued from the same cruelty situation as her brother, Frank, abandoned outside after their owners moved away. Unfortunately like so many other amazing dogs in Houston, Frank and Claire both found themselves on the euthanasia list due to time and space. Scouts Honor stepped in after first meeting Frank, knowing we could NOT leave his sister behind!! Claire is a little shy, but loves other dogs just like her brother Frank. They are not a bonded pair- so can go to separate homes! We think she’s around 4-5 years old and probably should be closer to 60lbs once she puts on some weight! She is very eager to please, loves treats, and would be the perfect companion in any home. We are excited to give this dog a second chance at life to know the love she truly deserves.
