Story
This speckled pup is Oreo! Animal control found Oreo out and about, and when they found his owner he was signed over to the county. Oreo is now on the search for a new forever family where he will be loved and cherished. The volunteers describe Oreo as friendly, fun, and playful. He does sit nicely when asked. Oreo is a year old, and he weighs 38 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Oreo in run 86; his ID # is 653688. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!

Story
***Mavi is at risk of being returned to a high-risk county shelter if she can't find a new foster. Please help us save her life!*** Meet Mavi, a sleek young speedster who's ready to zoom off with your heart. She'd be the perfect partner for your hikes or jogs, and she's a social butterfly, so other doggies on the trail are welcome too! She's no slouch in the brains department either and catches on quick. Just wave a treat and watch her sit like a pro. She's totally house-trained, so no potty accidents. Mavi is a sweet soul with a playful nature. Older/smaller dogs may find her eagerness to play or chase bit too much, but she's generally just looking for someone who wants to join her in some jumping, romping fun. Mavi is a people pleaser and loves everyone in the family. She's a car fanatic, eager to hop in and gazing out the windows. And, once the excitement is over, she'll take a nap in the back seat. They don't get anymore exciting than Miss Mavi! We have found Mavi would do best in a home where she is not left alone for long periods or left without some exercise breaks, as she is still a youngster and can get barky if crated too long. https://youtu.be/z9fze63YUGY Age: 2 years old    Weight: 45lb   Temperament: Good with dogs her speed but NO CATS, and older sturdier kids due to her energy Training: House trained and knows commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative  For questions, please email: aimiablepetcare@aol.com  &#226&#128&#139 To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. February 25, 2024, 5:35 pm

Story
Allegra is a beautiful & friendly Pointer/Dalmation mix who was born Sept 2020. She loves to be outside, loves her toys, and loves playing fetch! She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner. She has had professional training, has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better. She is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but an only dog home would be OK for her. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped.February 23, 2024, 4:01 pm

Story
Anyone looking for a 30lb bed hog??!! Bonnie is 3ish years old. A beautiful pointer/terrier mix (best guess). She enjoys snuggles and cuddles and hanging out with the other dogs. Bonnie came to us after living her life outside with dozens of other dogs. She loves other dogs but was not socialized with people. She still takes a little time to warm up to new people. But once she knows you can be trusted, she is all snuggles. She is not crate trained, absolutely terrified of the crate but does well just hanging out in her "safe room" on the bed or couch. A safe room is just a non traditional crate, It's a spare room in the house she goes to when no one is home or when new people are over. Bonnie needs a special home: She will need a patient person/family that will give her time to trust. Bonnie would do best in a home with another playful dog that could take the lead and show her the ways of the home. She freezes on leash, and will not potty on leash, so she will need a home with a fenced in yard. Mostly she need love and lots of snuggles. Bonnie loves to curl up on the bed and take naps. If you are interested in learning more about Bonnie send us a message or To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic Adoption fee $200 Bonnie is Spayed, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and heart worm negative. ##1267447##

Story
Israel is an almost 4 year old Pointer mix. This sweet fella is more calm than the average pup and seems to just be a 'go with the flow' kind of guy. He walks well on a leash after initial energy out of his cage, and is overall a gentleman. While Israel is fairly reserved when in his cage, his wonderful personality really shines once he is out of it and in the park! He becomes so joyful – the type of joy that spreads to everyone around him! He enjoys playing with toys, frolicking with people, and giving goofy grins while getting petted. Clearly Israel will truly shine once in a home setting! He is smart and we believe he would catch onto commands quickly. We are unsure of his demeanor with other dogs and would suggest a meet-n-greet!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.February 24, 2024, 11:49 pm
