Israel is an almost 4 year old Pointer mix. This sweet fella is more calm than the average pup and seems to just be a 'go with the flow' kind of guy. He walks well on a leash after initial energy out of his cage, and is overall a gentleman. While Israel is fairly reserved when in his cage, his wonderful personality really shines once he is out of it and in the park! He becomes so joyful – the type of joy that spreads to everyone around him! He enjoys playing with toys, frolicking with people, and giving goofy grins while getting petted. Clearly Israel will truly shine once in a home setting! He is smart and we believe he would catch onto commands quickly. We are unsure of his demeanor with other dogs and would suggest a meet-n-greet!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Anyone looking for a 30lb bed hog??!! Bonnie is 3ish years old. A beautiful pointer/terrier mix (best guess). She enjoys snuggles and cuddles and hanging out with the other dogs. Bonnie came to us after living her life outside with dozens of other dogs. She loves other dogs but was not socialized with people. She still takes a little time to warm up to new people. But once she knows you can be trusted, she is all snuggles. She is not crate trained, absolutely terrified of the crate but does well just hanging out in her "safe room" on the bed or couch. A safe room is just a non traditional crate, It's a spare room in the house she goes to when no one is home or when new people are over. Bonnie needs a special home: She will need a patient person/family that will give her time to trust. Bonnie would do best in a home with another playful dog that could take the lead and show her the ways of the home. She freezes on leash, and will not potty on leash, so she will need a home with a fenced in yard. Mostly she need love and lots of snuggles. Bonnie loves to curl up on the bed and take naps. Meet beautiful Kelly! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 4/4, and no one has come to reclaim her. Kelly needs a hero and quickly. She has found herself in an overcrowded shelter and she's petrified. She also has heartworms, which are treatable, but having medical needs is not ideal when the shelter is full. The volunteers describe her as sweet, but so very scared. She does know how to sit and lay down when asked. If you have a soft spot for the shy kids please don't delay and come meet Kelly. She really needs someone to step up for her. Kelly is approximately 6 years old, and she weighs 48 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Kelly did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with your vet about treatment options.
