Story
Tawny is a 9 month old female Pointer mix who is ready to charm her way straight into your heart. She has the most adorable prance on walks, almost as if she’s dancing along to keep pace with you. At the park, Tawny loves to run and play with toys, but she always makes her way right back to your side so she can stay close. She has a sweet, endearing way of focusing on the people she knows, showing just how strong her bonds will be with her future family. Friendly, gentle, and oh-so-lovable, Tawny simply needs a chance to show what an incredible companion she will be. Spend just a little time with her, and you’re sure to fall in love, for life! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Story
Jasmine is a one and a half year old pointer/terrier mix. She is extremely loving and friendly. All of her vet records have been up-to-date and she is micro chipped. She was adopted from a private owner, however, I feel she would be best suited for a home with someone who is active. She loves walking on the leash, cuddling on the couch, and thus far has had no house training issues. She has given birth twice, however, the individual who I adopted Jasmine from only had her for six months. She truly is a sweetheart, and a good jumper however, I fear she may require someone with a bit more energy, as I have some health issues that prevent me from giving her the amount of exercise she requires. Someone with a fenced backyard with plenty of room to run would be perfect. She’s extremely playful and loves her toys, especially the chewing ones. I have not owned her for very long, therefore I’m looking to rehome her as quickly as possible so that no bonding issues are established.

Story
Candy has a unique look - unless you count her nearly identical sisters! These distinctive girls have ears the better to hear you with and tails that act like rudders when they run - and they are built to run, athletic and active. Intelligent and sensitive, the girls are overwhelmed at the confusing shelter and need time to understand new situations. Having been abandoned and on their own, they are just cautious like that. Candy is a bit more of a free thinker than her sisters. She knows what she wants, and while mostly she wants treats, she also wants some independence. She is the last one to learn 'sit' (didn't wanna!), but does walk nicely on leash and crates up when asked. She is more ready to explore and do her thing. Still, she wants to enter into a fair relationship with new people who are respectful and looking for a partner, not a baby. She has struggled to make new dog friends at the shelter, mainly because of the environment - she has been fine in less stressful situations. Intelligent and sensitive, the girls are overwhelmed at the confusing shelter and need time to understand new situations. Having been abandoned and on their own, they are just cautious like that. Sandy in particular has a big 'stranger danger bark,' but don't let that deter you. She is just asking you to slow your roll and take this friendship-building at her pace. Yummy smelly treats are on her 'yes' list! She is very loyal to her friends and looks to her people for support. She learns quick, knows sit and has good crate and leash manners. Story
Meet Jessica! Jessica is a beautiful, sweet-tempered girl who thrives in open spaces and sunshine. While small, enclosed areas can make her anxious, she’s a calm and loyal shadow in wide-open spaces—happily following her person around without ever getting in the way. She’s perfectly content sharing her yard with other dogs, especially if she gets time to do her all-important sniff patrol. Jessica isn’t much of a snuggler, but she absolutely loves chin and neck scratches—and she’ll happily lean in for more! This water-loving girl believes no puddle, pool, or muddy spot should go unplayed in. She walks wonderfully on leash and knows sit, come, and no—especially if you’ve got a treat or kind word in hand. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, independent sweetheart who’s happiest outdoors and loyal to her person, Jessica could be your perfect match. Yeah yeah, he shares a name with that famous book dog. But unlike him, our Marley is past the puppy nonsense and already has his basic manners and play skills down pat (well...keeping it real...he can't catch worth anything!). But just like that other Marley, our boy is looking for that home that will stay true, through thick or thin, for better or worse.  Est DOB: May 2014  * Est weight: 60# * Breed unknown - guess based on looksMarch 7, 2026, 12:01 pm
