She's sweet too, always ready to give love and receive it in return. She wears a short brownish-black and white coat. Sage's youthful energy and playful nature make her the perfect companion for those who love an active lifestyle. Her sweet disposition makes her a great fit for families with other dogs. Meet our “Stranger Things” litter! We have four boys; Harrington, Hopper, Wheeler and Sinclair. Then we have three girls; Robin, Chrissy and Eleven. These sweet 15 week old mixes of Pointer and Schnauzer weigh between 11-17 pounds and should mature to around 45 pounds. They each wear short coats and a few have scruff on their face!  Harrington is white and black while the other pups are black with a tiny bit of white and a chocolate tint to their back. They love playing with people, other dogs and even do well with the cats! These pups are the definition of happy and loving! Story
Dottie is 25.8 lbs of pure love and motion, though she is still just a baby at a little over 3 months old. We think she is a Pointer mix, so she will be a large dog. Despite her young age, she's already good at keeping her crate clean overnight, but will need patience and consistency to perfect her overall housebreaking skills. She has already grasped some important basic commands including sit, go to bed, leave it, and quiet.  One of a litter of six puppies born to a stray in MIssissippi, she’s currently being fostered with 2 of her littermates in Collingswood, NJ, which is where meet & greets will take place prior to adoption. Despite being the largest female, she is more timid and needs encouragement to try new things. She is very affectionate, loves to be held and petted.  Dottie is a total sweetheart, smart, curious, and playful. When she's not rough-housing with other dogs at her foster’s home, she's learning manners and impulse control. Like all puppies, she requires regular naps throughout the day, frequent potty breaks, 3 meals per day, and tons of love, affection and handling.  Her perfect family will have time to spend with Dottie playing, socializing and training her. A fur-sib and/or human children would be nice but not essential, as long as she gets plenty of daily exercise, contact and attention, she will blossom. Due to her energy level and eventual size, a fenced yard is required. Continued use of a crate until Dottie is completely housebroken and trust-worthy is absolutely essential.   DOB: 10-25-23  Weight: 25.8 lbs  Physical fence required  Exercise and activity needs: Moderate to high  Shedding amount: Moderate  Grooming needs: Low  Reaction to new people: Friendly, curious  Good with dogs  Good with cats  Good with people; supervise with young children   Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us atAlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 8:56 pm

Introducing Darla, the pint-sized explorer with a heart of gold! At just 9 weeks old, this curious pointer mix is on a mission to charm her way into your life. With a passion for people and puppy pals, she's ready to sniff out her new BFFs. But beware, Darla's got a knack for vanishing acts and chasing imaginary butterflies. Her fiery spirit is bound to steal your heart, even if she's not sold on crate training just yet. But hey, who can blame her? She's got a whole world to discover! All Philly Bully puppies under 8 months must go to a home within 2 hours of Philadelphia. Philly Bully Team will prioritize homes with another young and playful dog, but we will also adopt to homes that sign their puppies up for training classes prior to adoption. Story
Rain is a 2 month old puppy, born on 2/2/24. So far she's been a very good houseguest and loves playing with humans of all sizes and especially, her foster fur sister. She's persistent, but Georgia is patient enough to keep her in her place. LOL Of course she's going through a nippy stage as expected, but with a little distraction and the right toys she quickly stops. She's doing very well in the crate and has very few accidents in the house. Learning new rules comes easy to her and since she's so food-driven, it's easy to get her attention. She traveled to Providence with us last weekend and was perfect in the car. She slept almost the entire round trip with no issues! We did put her on a slow feeder to help her take a little more time when eating. She does okay on a leash, but she'll do just fine with more reps. The most important thing to know is once she's ready to crash, she is a snuggler...and a BIG one! All Philly Bully puppies under 8 months must go to a home within 2 hours of Philadelphia. Philly Bully Team will prioritize homes with another young and playful dog, but we will also adopt to homes that sign their puppies up for training classes prior to adoption. Story
Lila is a sweet and spunky little puppy with a lot of love to give and a lot of play to have! She absolutely loves kids and other dogs and, well, basically everyone she meets! She's about 10 weeks old and, with all that puppy energy, she would love a home with another male pup who wants to wrestle, run, and tug with her. Lila is a Pointer/Pittie mix, so she is a smart and loyal girl and a dream to have around! And she is an expert at the aggressive puppy kisses that can only make you laugh and smile. At snuggle time, you will find her curled up in your lap, so make sure you grab yourself a snack and have everything you need with you before she climbs on and settles in for a loving cuddle sesh, because you won't want to interrupt your lovefest to get something you forgot in the other room. She is crate trained, is working on (and doing well with) potty training, and has started coming to you when called. This smarty-pants girl is a keeper! Adopt Lila!
