Story
Meet our active, happy boy Loki!! Loki is a male pointer mix around 5 years old. He is incredibly toy driven and loves playing fetch or running around the yard on his own chasing a ball. Loki was rescued in 2022 when a family member was discovered to be deathly allergic to dogs. Loki is good with people and has an extremely high prey drive so he would do best in a home with no other animals or younger children.

Story
Between July 5th-19th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $70! Meet Hailey! Hailey, affectionately nicknamed Lele, is a 4-year-old, 35-lb Shepherd mix with a bright mind, a loyal heart, and a big personality. Her superpowers include her exceptional intuition and communication skills—she’s one of the most communicative dogs her foster has ever cared for. Lele is house-trained, leash-trained, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, and shake. She also excels with recall and will come to her foster every single time, even in distracting environments. She thrives on routine and structure, needing two active play or exercise sessions each day—and once her energy is out, she’s content to relax or nap until the next one. Lele adores children and would thrive in a home with kids who can shower her with attention and playtime. She’s gentle, patient, and intuitive around little ones, making her a truly ideal family dog. Lele has an incredibly warm and outgoing personality—she thrives on human connection and is always eager to make new friends. Her charm is undeniable: she’ll joyfully greet people by rubbing against their legs like a cat before flopping onto her back for belly rubs. Her quirky, affectionate greetings never fail to amuse, making her a wonderful match for adopters seeking a social, engaging, and delightfully spirited companion. Hailey is currently being fostered in Brooklyn, NY, and her adoption fee is $425. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Zeus is a 3-4-year-old PoodlePointer weighing in at a strong and healthy 65 lbs. ready to transition into his forever home. Zeus has a medium energy level, thriving with about an hour of walking and a bit of fetch to keep his spirits high. But don’t let the playful side fool you he’s also a big fan of lazy, rainy movie days curled up beside his favorite human. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows several commands including sit, lay down, paw, heel, and his spot. Zeus is a fast learner and enjoys mental stimulation as much as physical activity. He thrives when boundaries are clear and loves to test them a little just to keep things interesting. Zeus is great with people affectionate, energetic, and loving. While he’s done well living with a bunny in the past, he can be reactive to other dogs, so a home without other pets (or with an experienced owner who can continue to train him. His ideal home would be with a loving family that has a fenced backyard where he can run.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Scott is a handsome boy who is looking for a new home. Scott is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters.  Scott was found as a stray and taken in by our partner rescue. His owner saw him on social media to let them know that he used to be their dog but they can't take care of him. She said he was an outside dog and ran off during a storm. Could you blame him? Left out 24/7 in the weather no matter if hot, cold, rain or wind...at the mercy of mosquitos 24/7 just about 365 days a year... a horrible way to live. Scott is doing great at the shelter and very loved by the volunteers. He is dog friendly! Scott is fixed, microchipped and he is up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Of course he tested positive for heartworm due to his neglect but his treatment is underway. Treatment can be done in Louisiana or NJ if we find a foster willing to see him through it. His  adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. Click on the orange  Online Adoption Application  button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
My name is Arnie! I am an around 2 to 2.5 years old and just under 60 lbs. I am a bulky and very squeezable mix of likely Basset Hound (yep - I am a low rider), Red Heeler and maybe pointer. I could have lab in there too! I likely have many things that make me a really special boy. I certainly turn heads when I am out. This is my deal, I am a loyal, friendly and an adjusted dog. I am housebroken, I am crate trained and I walk pretty well on leash. I do love other dogs and could live with another nice pup to hang out with and play. I am totally neutral with all other dogs - I just want to be friends! I am fine with kids. I have met real young ones without issue but most of my experience has been around 7+. I love when the kids go outside to play with me and hang out. I would really like an owner who likes to go on walks because I do enjoy them! A fenced in yard is totally fine but I like to see the sights. I like to play with my toys and can entertain myself with a long lasting chew. I have never met a stranger! Wherever I go, I am happy to meet new people. I am a catch and a snuggler too! Here is a link if you would like to apply for me! https://asecondchanceforziva.org/adopt/adoption-process-application/
