Story
Meet our active, happy boy Loki!! Loki is a male pointer mix around 5 years old. He is incredibly toy driven and loves playing fetch or running around the yard on his own chasing a ball. Loki was rescued in 2022 when a family member was discovered to be deathly allergic to dogs. Loki is good with people and has an extremely high prey drive so he would do best in a home with no other animals or younger children.

Story
Rhianna is looking for a quiet home where she can get walks and lots of time in the sunshine. She is a quiet girl that likes to be nearby but not in your lap. She loves her family, but is not comfortable around new people or strangers. She has been living with her family since she was a puppy. The family has dealt with their shyness around new people but, Things changed when a new baby came on the scene. The baby is now five years old and has special needs. Her unpredictable motor movements keep Rhianna on edge. For the safety of both, the parents would like to see Rhianna go into a quiet home where predictable routines will give her security. All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

Story
Meet Hailey! This sweet 4-year-old, 35 pound Shepherd mix loves people (especially kids) and enjoys playing with other dogs at the park. Despite a tough start in life, Hailey is friendly, affectionate, and eager to make new friends. She greets people by rubbing against their legs and rolling over for belly rubs—her playful personality is sure to bring smiles! Hailey is fully housetrained, and she'll let you know when she needs to go outside by pacing at the door. She's also quick to communicate her needs and emotions, whether it's initiating play or showing anxiety with subtle growls. In just a short time, she’s learned how to express herself clearly. Hailey is crate- and leash-trained and knows basic commands. She’s adapted well to city life, even taking her first train ride without issue, quickly making a new friend on board! She’s a great companion for active families but is also content to relax after a good walk or play session. Hailey would do well in a home where she gets plenty of exercise and attention, but she’s not demanding and can handle some alone time as long as she gets her daily walks. If she sounds like the perfect companion for you, apply to adopt her today! Hailey is currently fostered in Brooklyn, NY, and her adoption fee is $475. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Rocky has been a long stay in boarding while we got this little chowder head to focus. Apparently his live had started with best guess, young boys, because his exuberance was over the top. We have finally gotten him under control. Other dogs still correct him at times because he just can't get that meet & greet scenario down pat, again exuberance. He is a very loving dog and would love the opportunity to live with someone who loves the outdoors and hiking. Sorry no apartments for this boy.
