HI Hi HI! I am Lemonade but my friends call me Lemmie! I'm around 4 years old and currently on a big diet because whoever was my guardian previously over fed me (thyroid was checked and ruled out). I currently weigh around 25 lbs but I should probably weigh at least 15 lbs. I am great with dogs, house broken, crate trained, dog door trained, and just a really really nice lady! I can't wait to be your best friend! *please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. I am a 9yr old chihuahua/Pomeranian currently on my weight loss journey. I am blind but use my other senses to help me get around, once I adjust to new surroundings. Please go slow and let me smell you before picking me up. I would do best with a routine and consistency. I get along with people and dogs. I need help getting up and down off furniture, so please do not leave me unattended or I will fall. Although I love food please keep me on track of loosing weight for my health. Please do not free feed me, give me table food, or large portions. My foster mom says I love bath time but not toys. I am potty pad trained, and I will whine/bark if I need to go potty but if my request is ignored I may have a potty accident so please be patient with me.

Leo the Lion is a loveable 2 year old Pomeranian mix. He was surrendered by his former owners and was fortunate enough to find his way on to The Rescue Train. He is a sweet, funny dog that likes to cuddle, going on long walks and carrying around his favorite Nylabone. Although Leo is hearing impaired, he is very smart. He was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and his seizures are being controlled with phenobarbital. His foster took lessons with a trainer that specializes in deaf dogs so an adopter experienced with deaf/special needs dogs is a plus. He walks well on leash and is very good at maintaining eye contact so he knows when to safely cross the street. He doesn't bark very often, but he does bark very loudly so an apartment would not suit him. He interacts well with other dogs but doesn't necessarily initiate play and sometimes just likes to just watch from the sidelines. His adopter will be required to take a minimum of 2 lessons with his trainer, which are included in his adoption donation. --- If you are interested in adopting LEO THE LION please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK.
