They are currently in Chula Vista, CA, and their hearts beat in perfect harmony and their bond is as steady as the tide. These two senior girls are a beautiful study in loyalty, each complementing the other in the sweetest ways! Eevee, a petite golden girl weighing 13 pounds, is confident, friendly, and wonderfully expressive. She knows sit, turn around, up, and down, and she happily comes when called. As Ellie’s self appointed guardian, she keeps a watchful eye on her best friend and will bark if large, energetic dogs rush in too quickly. She thrives with gentle reassurance and positive reinforcement, and she loves being close to her people. Eevee has a collapsed trachea and sensitive skin that requires mindful care, along with dental chews and monitoring for possible extractions. Ellie, a graceful 33 pound black beauty with possible hound traits, is softer in spirit and takes a little time to warm up. Leo the Lion is a loveable 2 year old Pomeranian mix. He was surrendered by his former owners and was fortunate enough to find his way on to The Rescue Train. He is a sweet, funny dog that likes to cuddle, going on long walks and carrying around his favorite Nylabone. Although Leo is hearing impaired, he is very smart. He was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and his seizures are being controlled with phenobarbital. His foster took lessons with a trainer that specializes in deaf dogs so an adopter experienced with deaf/special needs dogs is a plus. He walks well on leash and is very good at maintaining eye contact so he knows when to safely cross the street. He doesn't bark very often, but he does bark very loudly so an apartment would not suit him. He interacts well with other dogs but doesn't necessarily initiate play and sometimes just likes to just watch from the sidelines. Pom savvy owners.....we have the perfect dog for you! Meet Godiva, our beautiful, approx 10 month old, female, 7lb, Pomeranian who is the sweetest dog ever! Godiva came to us as an owner surrender who unfortunately bought a puppy on impulse and no longer had time for her. She is now safe with us and in a wonderful foster home with other dogs and cats and she is doing fine with everyone! We are looking for a Pomeranian savvy home for her that has another pom or has had one in the past and knows the breed well. An adult only (or with gentle older children), non chaotic home is exactly what Godiva needs. She does have separation anxiety so she needs to be in a home where the owners are not gone long hours during the day or work from home. She needs owners that will take her out and about with them, so she is not left alone. Godiva is such a precious and sweet dog that deserves the best forever home out there! Godiva is vaccinated, microchipped and will be spayed soon. We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
