Anastasia is a Pomeranian/Husky mix that's about 30 pounds. She came from a bad breeding situation, so she's shy when she first meets you but soon becomes an adventurous girl who loves to give kisses and receive ear scratches. She does well in her crate when left alone, but she prefers to sleep in a dog bed at night instead of being crated. She's potty trained - she only had a few accidents when she first arrived at her foster home. Now that she knows the routine, she always does her business right away when she's let out in the fenced-in yard.When Anastasia gets excited, she makes the cutest howling sounds, but otherwise, she's very quiet. She's happy to see other dogs walk by, but she never barks at them. She's a smart, curious girl who needs a patient family who can help her learn how do be a dog. Could that be you? Olga is a small/medium sized Pomski (Pomerian/Husky) around 25 pounds who just wants to snuggle. She is gaining confidence daily and will now approach strangers on walks or in stores with a hopeful wag, pleading for attention. Beware! she can't "hold her licker" and will be your little shadow (insert lock bathroom door for privacy) once she realizes you only want to give her love and attention. While her confidence is growing, she does not like it when her people leave. However if she doesn't see them leave (because she is outside when one person leaves for instance) then she really doesn't put up much of a fuss. This is getting better day by day however (she used to get upset when foster mom shut the door for a shower) so with more trust in the routine and confidence in herself this behavior should resolve. She does not like to be crated but will reluctantly sleep on the floor... she would really prefer to sleep with you. She is learning to play with toys and will play a few rounds of fetch or tug on the floor before she realizes she could snuggle up next to you instead. She is housetrained, and picked up using bells in her first foster home but hasn't resumed that behavior with us. Apartment living is not for this girl as she loves to sing. She loved playing with the foster dogs in her previous home and would probably prefer a playful fur sibling. This is not a requirement, but if she is going to be an only dog then plan to keep her socialized with playdates, frequent visits to the dog park or time at doggy daycare. She has done well meeting children and is very gentle in general, but would need time to adjust to little ones who get the zoomies themselves. She has not lived with a cat, but showed no interest in them in a kennel setting. She sets a quick pace on walks without overly pulling (be ready for "SQUIRREL!') and would probably be a great jogging/hiking partner or even a candidate for agility as she has springs for legs and can clear a normal baby gate. Romeo is an adorable senior Pomeranian Mix who recently joined us from an understaffed, overcrowded shelter. He’s simply adorable. And is in fact a perfect pup! Romeo is great with people and great with other dogs of all sizes; he weighs 18 lbs. He loves being out in the sun, rolling around in the grass, following his person around, and of course receiving treats. We are not sure of Romeo’s age but believe he’s around 10 – 11 years old. As with all of our seniors, he had had comprehensive senior bloodwork which looks very good. He does take a supplement for kidney support and of course other supplements such as fish oil and glucosamine-chondroitin are recommended. An ideal forever family for Romeo is one willing to open its heart and home to a senior, and provide a loving, compassionate, and fun time for him during his twilight years. Another senior would be a nice addition and of course Romeo would be a great companion for any other senior. A quiet or moderately active home would be fine. Too active of a home would be too stressful for Romeo. Romeo is fully vetted, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, has had comprehensive bloodwork and has been dewormed. Poppy is an adorable senior Pomeranian Mix, estimated to be 11.5 years old and 11.5 lbs. He’s a very cute, sweet dog but he is a little old man who just likes to hang out with his favorite human(s). he’s not a cuddly lap dog, and is not especially playful pup. His favorite activities are napping and watching what’s going on around him…without necessarily engaging in any activities. He’s more of an observer vs a participant! Poppy would sure love to be an only dog, but, would do ok with another quiet senior who would not bother him with play or cuddling. He’s looking for a place to just chill and hang out in his twilight years, not being bothered by lots of people or by children. Poppy is in overall good health but he appears to have poor eyesight. He just had extensive dental work. He is of course neutered and microchipped and is up-to-date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on year-round heartworm prevention.
