My original home would hit me and this left some scars on my heart. My last home said that I was loving and affectionate with them but also protective. Unfortunately, I just didn’t care for their cats and kids. I do get along with dogs. I can be pretty active and playful and enjoy a nice game of fetch. I also sit and give paw. Can you help me heal emotionnally, I promise to love you with all my heart!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Tiara — and yes, I know I’m tiny and adorable. At just 5 pounds, I’m basically the size of a little puffball with legs. But behind all this fluff is a sweet little girl who’s been through quite a journey/ Before coming to rescue, I spent weeks running around a neighborhood as a stray while kind neighbors tried so hard to catch me and keep me safe. By the time I was finally rescued, I was covered in fleas and ticks, my fur was badly matted, and my poor teeth were in rough shape from periodontal disease.  I am a sweet girl, but I do need some time warming up. I am not a feisty girl, but I will try to run away from you. I just need some patience.  I get along wonderfully with other dogs, I’m very quiet, and I even seem to be somewhat potty trained already. I’d love a home where life is peaceful and where someone understands that little dogs like me need regular grooming and brushing to keep our beautiful coats healthy and mat-free. Pomeranians are also known for dental issues, so my future family will need to stay committed to regular dental care to keep my smile healthy for years to come. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto, and I even had a recent dental completed — so I’m truly ready for my fresh start. My adoption fee is $600, and you can apply to adopt me at www.adoggie4you.org. I’m currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride to my new family, there’s an additional $225 transport fee. If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Yoshi is a 1.5 year old male/female Pomeranian who weighs in at 11.6 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $500.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Yoshi takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. He has not had the best life. Prior to finding his way to ARF, Yoshi was dumped in the forest and then spent 6 days in animal control. Since coming to ARF he has been to the vet and neutered. He is doing well with house training and walks nicely on a leash. He is good with other dogs who aren’t too pushy and requires children to be over the age of 12. He has not been tested with cats. Yoshi learns quickly! He already knows sit and crate. He is learning stay and come. Yoshi loves to snuggle and play with toys. If you have a calm house, he is your boy! With a little time and training, he is sure to be a great dog. Yoshi is currently on Trazadone to help him settle in and adjust to everything he has experienced.
