Story
Tito is 5 to 6 years old. Pomeranian chihuahua mix approx 8lbs super sweet but on the independent side. He likes to go on adventures and is super curious. Not your typical couch potato chihuahua. Although he is great with children, due to his small size we are not comfortable placing him in a home with children under the age of 7. He would make a great addition to just about any family! He can't wait to find his forever home! If you are interested in adopting please apply through our website www.southernpawsinc.org/adopt or send us an email at

Story
Trixie is a 7 year old 8 pound Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix. For seven years, little Trixie was confined to a life in a puppy mill, missing out on the kindness and love that life has to offer. Despite this difficult start, Trixie is a friendly and inquisitive dog, eager for the company of other dogs and finding comfort in the presence of her friend, Peaches. Trixie would benefit from having a consistent canine companion, which would enhance her life. The volunteers' observations highlight her bravery and affectionate nature, as she seeks interaction and belly rubs. She will be very happy to cuddle up anywhere, anytime. Hope can you resist this face?! Trixie deserves a life filled with love, luxury, and proper care. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
this little deaf boy came with medical issues but has been fully vetted and is coming along well. (lots of bloodwork!) He is a very sweet old man and cute as a button. Deaf, he knows to follow the lead and loves to be with his humans. His hair is not growing in so we no longer expect it to. He looks like a beloved teddy bear!. He was neutered, full dental and blood work and with TLC stands to have a great rest of his life in a loving home. He will grow on you trust me.

Meet Crumpet — The ThreeLegged Blur Who’s Faster Than Your WiFiAge: 3 years Weight: 16 lbsFostered in: Suffolk County, NYFully vetted, neutered, microchippedAvailable in: NY, NJ, CT, PA, ME, VT, VA, DE, MD, RI, NHApply: houndsinpounds.org Crumpet may be a tripod, but he moves like someone hit the “2x speed” button on him. After being stepped on by a horse, his leg had to be amputated — and Crumpet responded by becoming shockingly fast. He’s aerodynamic now. Streamlined. Built for efficiency. If you blink, he’s already in another room doing something adorable and mildly chaotic  He’s silly, expressive, and unintentionally hilarious. Crumpet has a whole collection of faces, including “I definitely heard a snack bag,” “I’m not sure what’s happening but I support it,” and “Please pick me up, I’m small.” He loves being carried even though he can outrun you, and he brings big “pocketsized sidekick” energy everywhere he goes. Crumpet is:  Good with dogs — social, friendly, and faster than most of themGood with cats — polite, curious, and not here for dramaFun + goofy — a natural comedian with elite timingPortable — your perfect takeeverywhere buddy He’s fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready to bring his sweet, speedy, threelegged charm to a forever home.  If you’ve been looking for a little companion who’s equal parts adorable, ridiculous, and heartmelting, Crumpet is your guy. ##2754436##

Story
Ziggy came into rescue from a hoarding situation. He does okay with other small and medium dogs but prefers to be the center of attention. He would do best in a home where he is the only dog to be treated like the prince he is meant to be. He has been completely vetted and is house/crate trained. He is fostered near Knoxville, TN but transportation is included in the adoption fee. Transportation is provided by Rescue Riders LLC to a location near you. Please email for adoption application.
