Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Coco is a super sweet, playful dog who loves being part of the pack. He likes having a canine companion for company so another dog is a MUST.  He had a rough start in life but has learned to trust. Coco is full of energy so a securely fenced yard is ideal for him. :)  We would not recommend him for homes with small children as to much movement at once can be a lot for him.  REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another dog  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet George a 5 year old, 12 pound guy who's only requirement is he should be an only pet. He was a street dog along a major 4 lane highway for at least a month before being captured, but no one ever claimed him. George is sweet, playful, and loves his people as much as he loves food. This stubby legged brindle boy is eager to learn and super food motivated. He did pick up some tick friends during his travels leaving him with Lyme and Anaplasma, but we treated him doxycycline for 21 days and he is one heathy dude now. He is create trained, leash trained, loves car rides, but needs a tiny bit more perfecting on the house training so a belly band will save you from any headaches for a future family. George is truly perfect package as your one and only! DNA results revealed George is a Pomeranian, Mini Pinscher, Shih Tzu, Mini Poodle, and a little bit of Pekingese mix. To adopt George, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.FOSTERED NEAR RICHMOND VA Meet Theo - a 10‑year‑old, 7.5‑lb Pomeranian and the fluffiest little adventure buddy you’ll ever meet! This gorgeous little brown fluffball wastes no time warming up and is ready to fill the right home with joy, laughter, and lots of love. Theo has a fun, moderate energy level - he loves going for walks, chasing his favorite ball, going for car rides, and keeping an eye on the neighborhood squirrels, but he’s just as happy curling up in your lap and relaxing with his people. Wherever you are, Theo wants to be right there too. He thrives without a crate and does best in a home where he can roam freely (he is housetrained), and he’d love a dog sibling to be his built‑in best friend. As a fluffy Pomeranian, Theo will need regular grooming, including frequent brushing and routine grooming visits, to keep his beautiful coat looking its best. This sweetheart is ready to fill your home with tiny paws, soft snuggles, and big love! To adopt Theo, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Skylar is an adorable little toothless senior gal looking for her forever retirement home. This 10+ year old girl weighs about 9 pounds now amd does need to lose a few more pounds yet. She is hilarious, sweet, loves snuggling, and belly rubs. Her only medical requirements are eye drops for corneal edema, drops for dry eye, and monitoring a benign lump on her front leg. Besides that she is healthy for a senior gal. She loves to romp with other small dogs or snuggle with them for a snooze. Skylar has lots of life and love left to give to a lucky family... Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Benedict is a beautiful white and orange, 6 year old, 10 pound breeder release looking for his happily ever after! He is healthy, but after dental surgery, he did need all his teeth extracted. Puppy mill life took its toll so he does rely on other dogs and does require a fenced yard. He is feeling fantistic now, is playing with toys, and allows all handling. Benedict is slowly learning how to live life as a pampered house dog. He is housetrained as long as you keep him on a regular schedule, crate trained, and does well in a car. Won't you give this handsome man the royal treatment of a happily ever after!?! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I'm Beau, a cute 6-year-old, 10-pound Pomeranian looking for my next great adventure of a forever home. I get along with my furry foster friends but will appropriately correct other dogs if they make me uncomfortable. I could do well as an only dog getting everyone’s full attention or with other small furry friends. I am completely housetrained and will even give you a little sign if you forget. I am leash trained, but I tend to pull or get a little excited on the leash causing me to cough so a fenced yard is required. Plus I have been known to go on solo adventures, so security is best! I love car rides, and meeting new friends. I'm okay with grooming until you get to my nails. I might need a muzzle there. I'm also okay with at the vet with a little help (sedative medication). I attach quickly to my humans and look forward to doing the same with my furever family. I just need to feel secure and have boundaries set with a crate in order to thrive. I am alternately a cuddler and independent type, so the best of both worlds. Are you my future family? Am I your future companion? To adopt Beau, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org.
