When Darcy first came to rescue, she was heartworm positive, but she bravely completed treatment and is now heartworm-free and thriving. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for her fresh start.Darcy is full of personality and loves to run and play in the backyard with her toys. She does great with other dogs and would enjoy a playful companion, but she’s also okay being an only dog if she gets plenty of attention. She’s potty trained with frequent trips outside and is learning that leash walks and the crate aren’t so scary — she just needs a little patience and consistency. She can be a bit vocal when she gets excited (she definitely has opinions), so she would likely do best in a home rather than an apartment.Fun, loyal, spirited, and resilient — Darcy is ready to leave her mama days behind and step into a life where she’s spoiled, loved, and cherished. MEET Jordy! Jordy and another dog were being given away for free on the Nextdoor App. They were picked up by a lady but it was not a good fit for her RV lifestyle. She was caught dumping them in carriers on the Mini Mutts President's front porch! Jordy is an adorable, 5 year old, little Pomeranian and weighs 10lbs! Sadly, Jordy was not handled by people as a young pup and prefers not to be picked up or to be petted but will give your fingers sweet kisses! He has a sweet temperament! Jordy is a sweet and happy, tail wagging little guy and gets along great with other dogs. Other dogs are his jam!! Jordy is looking for that special person that understands that he doesn't feel comfortable being petted but enjoys just being around his person... just one foot away! ( he doesn't kiss on the first date!). Jordy is most comfortable around other small dogs so needs another small dog in the home! Want to meet this sweet boy? Story
I fostered this dog to get it out of an abusive situation where children were grabbing him by the neck, pulling his tail and generally being mean to him. As a result, he is skittish of people he doesn't know, but especially children. Initially, he also didn't like things around his neck or to have his tail messed with. I took him in in order to give him a safe place and rehabilitate him a bit before finding someone to adopt him. He has since gotten a lot better, but can still be a bit erratic when nervous. He allows me to pet him and gently put my hands on his neck and play with his tail. He still needs work, but is on the recovery to being a 'normal' dog. He is still apprehensive with strangers, but once he knows someone, he is their very best friend. He is a true lap dog as his favorite thing is to lay on you, or next to you while on the couch. If you pet him while he lays there, he really loves that and belly rubs too.
