MEET Jordy! Jordy and another dog were being given away for free on the Nextdoor App. They were picked up by a lady but it was not a good fit for her RV lifestyle. She was caught dumping them in carriers on the Mini Mutts President's front porch! Jordy is an adorable, 5 year old, little Pomeranian and weighs 10lbs! Sadly, Jordy was not handled by people as a young pup and prefers not to be picked up or to be petted but will give your fingers sweet kisses! He has a sweet temperament! Jordy is a sweet and happy, tail wagging little guy and gets along great with other dogs. Other dogs are his jam!! Jordy is looking for that special person that understands that he doesn't feel comfortable being petted but enjoys just being around his person... just one foot away! Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Is it a giant marshmallow or a cumulus cloud? No, it’s Pete! This one-of-a-kind, 7-year-old Pomeranian is truly something special. He has the most expressive little face, and he’ll melt your heart with the happy, grumbly sounds he makes when you pet him. Pete is a guy of simple pleasures. He loves his treats, lives for a good tummy scratch, and is slowly learning that being a professional cuddler is a pretty great gig. He’s curious about toys, but honestly? His absolute favorite thing in the world is a humble, empty toilet paper roll. He’s currently about 11 pounds, and we’re working on getting him feeling his best—he’s on medication for low thyroid to help his metabolism, and he’s doing amazing on Keppra to manage his focal seizures. Because he hasn't quite taken to leash walking and really isn't a fan of crates, a home with a secure, fenced yard is a must-have for him. He’s definitely a quirky little guy, but he is such a wonderful companion. If you think your home might be the perfect place for Pete to settle in, we’d love for you to apply to adopt him! -- Where did he come from: He was surrendered to us by a puppymill.
