Meet Steele!Steele is the sweetest little boy with a huge heart! He’s a playful, affectionate puppy who loves both adventure and cuddles. He absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys rough-housing with pups of all sizes and ages. A playful canine companion will be very important for Steele in his forever home.Steele is also completely obsessed with toys. He loves carrying them around and playing with them, and his foster family jokingly calls them his “babies.” He has also discovered that water is lots of fun and loves splashing around!Like any young puppy, Steele is still learning that hands, ankles, and household items aren’t chew toys. Appropriate chews, like Yak chews, are a great outlet for his puppy energy.He’s doing wonderfully with crate training and is making great progress. Since he isn’t fully vaccinated yet, he hasn’t had much opportunity to learn leash walking, so that will be a skill for his forever family to introduce patiently. He is also still working on potty training and all the basics of puppy life.Steele loves being held, cuddled, kissed, and adored—but he’s just as happy when it’s time to get down and play! He’ll need a family who understands that puppies require patience, consistency, training, and positive reinforcement.His beautiful coat will also require regular brushing and professional grooming to keep him healthy and comfortable as he grows.Steele is looking for a playful canine companion, a patient and loving family, someone who doesn’t mind a toy-obsessed pup, a water-loving adventure buddy, plenty of appropriate things to chew, and a family committed to continued puppy, potty, leash training, and regular grooming. Meet Bonbon 🐾 Bonbon came to NTASR as part of the Smith County cruelty and hoarding case, where 38 dogs were rescued from heartbreaking conditions. While we'll never know everything she experienced before rescue, one thing is certain: she's discovering just how wonderful life can be when you're safe, loved, and spoiled a little. Estimated to be between 4 and 6 years old and weighing just 19 pounds, Bonbon is a tiny bundle of joy with a big personality. This sweet, goofy girl knows how to have fun! She loves a good play session, but she's equally happy curling up beside her favorite person for a long afternoon nap. Bonbon is incredibly affectionate and isn't shy about asking for more attention. Expect a gentle paw on your arm whenever she decides the pets have stopped a little too soon. She's also a huge fan of mealtime. The moment you pick up her food bowl, Bonbon breaks into the cutest happy dance, spinning excitedly in circles before racing to her kennel for dinner. Food and treats are definitely the way to this girl's heart. Bonbon is fully vetted, potty trained, puppy pad trained, crate trained, and has great house manners. She still finds loud noises and walking on a leash a little scary, and she prefers having her person nearby when it's time to go outside. As her confidence continues to grow, she's learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. When meeting new people, Bonbon can be a little cautious and might greet them with an adorable little grumble. Don't let it fool you. A few tasty treats, a little patience, and some gentle affection are usually all it takes before she's asking for pets instead. Bonbon enjoys the company of other dogs and would absolutely love having a playful canine companion to help build her confidence. That said, she'd also be perfectly happy as the center of attention with an attentive family who enjoys playing, cuddling, and making her feel safe. MEET Jordy! Jordy and another dog were being given away for free on the Nextdoor App. They were picked up by a lady but it was not a good fit for her RV lifestyle. She was caught dumping them in carriers on the Mini Mutts President's front porch! Jordy is an adorable, 5 year old, little Pomeranian and weighs 10lbs! Sadly, Jordy was not handled by people as a young pup and prefers not to be picked up or to be petted but will give your fingers sweet kisses! He has a sweet temperament! Jordy is a sweet and happy, tail wagging little guy and gets along great with other dogs. Other dogs are his jam!! Jordy is looking for that special person that understands that he doesn't feel comfortable being petted but enjoys just being around his person... just one foot away!
