To learn more about Truffles, please get in touch with her foster family at Nb1273@aol.com Meet Truffles! Like her namesake, Truffles is that perfect little tidbit of rich, delightful goodness. Rescued from a tough situation, Truffles has finished raising her last litter as a puppy mill dog and is ready for retirement. Her age is a bit of a mystery. We estimate her to be anywhere from 7-10 years old. She is quiet, sweet, and gentle and gets along with all the dogs and cats in her foster home. She's a very nervous car traveler and refuses to walk on a leash (likely things she has never known) but does great in a fenced-in yard. Truffles is looking for a calm and patient family that can help her live the life of her dreams. So if this little fluff ball is a perfect fit for your home, reach out today!

We are located 5 1/2 hours west of VA Beach in Mt.Airy, NC. You are welcome to drive here to pick up. We can deliver 1/2 way for $100 or all the way to VA Beach for $200. Transport is temporarily on hold due to vehicle issues. This pup was born 2-24-23. This pup is a mixture of dachshund, pomeranian and chih. This pup will not be very big and should mature under 20 pounds or smaller. This pup is super sweet and very affectionate. This pup has been socialized since birth with people,dogs and cats. We have started potty training and crate training. This pup will go home current on all vaccinations, deworming, on preventives and microchipped. The pup will receive a complete physical and a health certficate by our vet prior to being transported. We require a prescreen application to adopt. IMPORTANT: We are looking for a very specific adopter for Alfie as this poor little girl is very scared and it is likely she had little human contact before she came to HART. She is new to us, and her foster mom is working hard to gain her trust. Alfie has so much potential and has made very good progress in a short period of time but still has a way to go. While Alfie is not ready to be adopted yet, we are posting her now so that we can start reviewing appropriate applications. We'd love to have Alfie's adopter already picked out for her so that she has a home when she is ready to be adopted. To be considered as a possible adopter for Alfie, you will need to have dog experience as an adult (bonus if you have worked with scared dogs before), already have a playful, outgoing dog that can show Alfie the ropes, have no kids in your home, and live in a quiet, calm home with a highly secure fenced yard.
