Story
Toad wasn’t sure what he did wrong. One day he was riding in the backseat, watching the world blur by through the window. The next, he was standing in a loud shelter lobby, his leash handed over, his people walking away without even looking back. He tried to follow, tiny paws skittering on the floor, but the door closed before he reached it. For a moment, Toad just sat there — a small Pomeranian mix with a big confused heart. But shelters have a way of spotting the special ones, and Toad was special from the start. He had a fox‑like face, a plume of a tail, and a little hop in his step that made the volunteers laugh. They started calling him “Toad,” because he’d bounce toward them like a happy little toad whenever he saw someone coming. And slowly, Toad realized something important: He hadn’t been left behind. He’d been given a second chance. At the rescue, he learned that people could be gentle. He learned that laps were warm, treats were plentiful, and walks were full of good smells and better company. He made friends — both the furry kind and the human kind — and he soaked up every bit of love like he’d been waiting his whole life for it. Now Toad is ready. Ready for a home where he isn’t an afterthought. Ready for a family who sees him as forever, not temporary. Ready to give all the loyalty, joy, and goofy little hops he’s been saving. Toad isn’t looking back anymore. He prefers women He’s looking for you.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Izzy came to us after her Mama passed and family wasn't able to take her in.  We were told she had no teeth but at her exam, she did have a few rotten molars still so we took care of that and now she is toothless.  She's in good shape for a 14 year old and gets around great with the dogs in her foster home!  She's very social with people and other animals but loves to hang with her people.  She needs a fenced yard or she will roam.  She barked a lot when she first arrived and was probably just confused where she was at as it's subsided to normal Pom barking.   She needs a soft landing with someone who's home most of the time and will keep her coat brushed (it was an awful mess too when we got her with a lot of bald patches from chewing fleas).  Since she has no teeth, we feed her canned food, Nature's Domain, from Costco.  She's done great on it and is in much better shape than when she arrived.   Who can give this doll a well loved and cared for rest of her life? Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 5, 2026, 3:02 pm

Hi! My name is `Edgewick and I am available for adoption.I am considered a `small breed` dog.Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I would do best in a home with older children.I am a spirited cat with a fun-loving personality! I may be sensitive to handling, so I would do best in a home with a cat savvy family who knows when to give me some space.

Story
Meet Chloe! This tiny Pomeranian mix has a heart full of love and a gentle, easygoing personality that makes her impossible not to adore. At 5 years old, Chloe is happiest when she's close to her people, whether she's relaxing in the sunshine, joining you for a leisurely walk, or curled up nearby for a cozy afternoon nap. Chloe came to Emerald City Pet Rescue after surviving a dog attack in California, but she hasn't let her past define her. She greets new people with warmth, loves attention, and would likely do well in a home with respectful children. While she can live with other dogs, she would be happiest with companions who understand that she'd like a little extra attention from her favorite people. This sweet girl has a calm, low-to-medium energy level. She enjoys spending time outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and occasionally showing off a burst of zoomies before settling back down for more relaxation. She's wonderful in the car, enjoys her walks, and would love a family that includes her in everyday life. Chloe does have a few ongoing medical needs, including a chronic cough that is well managed with daily medication, routine monitoring for some age-related conditions, and a dental procedure to help her feel her very best. She'll likely do best on a soft-food diet, and her future family should be prepared to keep up with regular veterinary care. Despite these considerations, Chloe is a happy, affectionate little dog who doesn't let any of it slow her down. One of Chloe's most charming quirks is her love of wearing little shirts. What started as a way to protect her while she healed has become part of her personality, keeping her cozy, comfortable, and stylish. She also has an unforgettable potty routine that includes doing tiny handstands, proving that even everyday moments with Chloe come with a little extra entertainment. Chloe is looking for a home where she can be loved, included, and cherished for exactly who she is. If you're searching for a devoted companion with a gentle heart, a sweet spirit, and plenty of personality packed into five pounds, Chloe may be the perfect addition to your family. Chloe is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
