Story
Do not click “Start Your Inquiry.” Please fill out an application (instructions below) if interested in adoption. Meet Cosmo — a tiny Pom mix with a whole lot of heart. This black‑and‑tan sweetheart weighs just 2.91 pounds and was born on 1/30/2026, making him the perfect pocket‑sized companion. Cosmo came to us as an unclaimed stray and has already received two rounds of booster vaccines. He’ll be adopted out on a spay/neuter contract once he’s old enough. He’s everything people adore about Pom mixes: affectionate, people‑oriented, expressive, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. Cosmo is a total love bug who melts into cuddles and thrives on gentle attention. Fostered with dogs, cats and farm animals. If you’re looking for a small, affectionate companion with a big heart, Cosmo is ready to meet you. For Western WA adopters: We will be meeting approved adopters in Ellensburg within the next 1–2 weeks. If you are unable to travel east, we will do our best to coordinate a volunteer hand‑off closer to your area. For Eastern WA adopters: Approved adopters may meet in either the Moses Lake or Omak area. Adoption application link (copy/paste): https://forms.gle/PUKXrshWYAVhGCYE6

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Izzy came to us after her Mama passed and family wasn't able to take her in.  We were told she had no teeth but at her exam, she did have a few rotten molars still so we took care of that and now she is toothless.  She's in good shape for a 14 year old and gets around great with the dogs in her foster home!  She's very social with people and other animals but loves to hang with her people.  She needs a fenced yard or she will roam.  She barked a lot when she first arrived and was probably just confused where she was at as it's subsided to normal Pom barking.   She needs a soft landing with someone who's home most of the time and will keep her coat brushed (it was an awful mess too when we got her with a lot of bald patches from chewing fleas).  Since she has no teeth, we feed her canned food, Nature's Domain, from Costco.  She's done great on it and is in much better shape than when she arrived.   Who can give this doll a well loved and cared for rest of her life? Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 16, 2026, 6:56 pm

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Bori is a mature, gentle girl who spent a long time in a shelter before being rescued. She is the kind of dog whose presence is so quiet that you might not even notice she’s there— soft, calm, and unobtrusive. She rarely barks and enjoys simply staying close to her person. From the very first moment you meet her, she’s the kind of dog who makes you think, “I just want to hold her.” Bori’s personality is pure gentleness. She is calm, well-mannered, and never disruptive to the atmosphere of a home. She stays quietly by your side, which somehow makes you care for her even more, with a tender feeling in your heart. One important note: Bori tends to chase cats, so a home without cats would be best for her. In a new environment, she may have a few potty accidents at first due to nervousness. With a little time and patience, she will adjust and gradually settle in. Bori doesn’t ask for much. A quiet space, a patient person, and a family willing to spend calm, unhurried time together is all she needs. She isn’t overly affectionate or demanding, but just having her nearby is comforting in itself. That’s the kind of dog Bori is. She is no longer looking to be alone— she is waiting for a family who will stay quietly by her side, just as she will for them. 🐾🤍

Story
Coco is the SWEETEST little guy ever. He’s full of energy, sass, smarts and a true diva. He was born in December 2025 and is learning to go potty outside but has not yet mastered this. He sleeps in his crate at night. He knows sit, shake and lay down. He will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. He needs to be with someone who either works from home or is a stay at home parent as he is a typical velcro dog and LOVES to be with his people at all times. I’m looking to find him someone who is familiar with this breed. He does great with kids and other pets but he is in the peak of his puppy biting phase so please keep this in mind if you have young children. We are only rehoming him because my son is on the autism spectrum and we are finding pets are too overwhelming for him. If interested, please tell me about yourself and how Coco will fit into your lifestyle.

Story
Meet Blossom! Blossom and her siblings were born in our care to mama Ivy. Ivy found herself in a high kill shelter at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding. She arrived with us just time to give birth to 8 healthy adorable puppies. The pups were born on February 7th and are all doing great. Their DNA test shows a mix of Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Poodle, Shih Tzu and a few other mystery breeds. They are tiny pups and will remain small. We estimate they will grow to about 10-12 lbs as adults.   Puppies are adorable but they are hard work! It's easy to fall in love with these cute faces but we hope to find them families who understand that puppies need proper socialization, training and dedicated care. They are too young to spend more than an hour or two alone and will rely on their humans to teach them gently about the world. The pups are very small - just around 2 lbs - are are not suitable for homes with very young children who may not have awareness of how fragile they are.   The puppies have received their first vaccinations, have been regularly dewormed, and are microchipped. They will be spayed and neutered between 8-12 months of age at our cost and at our vet. This procedure is not negotiable. Their adoption fee is $595. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
