Story
Primrose, Princeton and Percival's mom was abandoned at a home when her previous owners moved out. She was left out on a chain to fend for herself. Luckily the neighbors realized she had been left behind and took her in. She was in horrible physical condition and pregnant by to neighborhood stray (a black lab) that would jump the fence when she was in heat. It was reported by the neighbors that these 2 had had multiple litters together but none of the puppies ever survived. The neighbors children fell in love with mom and they are keeping her but needed help rehoming her very last litter (we assisted in getting her spayed). These pups are the most laid back and chill group I have ever seen.

Story
Meet Lucille! This English Bulldog is equal parts giant lovebug, sleepy queen, low-key comedian, and professional recipient of butt scratches. Lucille is sweet, calm, quiet, and deeply easy to love. She’s the kind of dog who settles into your home quickly and makes herself comfortable like she’s been there forever. She loves having options when it comes to lounging (ideally multiple large beds to rotate between) and is equally happy napping solo or alongside her people or other dogs. Lucille also adores Benebones and lives for treats, in moderation since she's watching her figure. She is great in the car, walks nicely on leash, sleeps through the night, and does well when left alone, making her a wonderfully low-maintenance companion in all the right ways. Lucille is also a clown in disguise. She's known for her dramatic looks — she’ll be minding her business and then suddenly stop what she’s doing to turn and stare at you with intense, theatrical expression, as if she has something very important to say but prefers to let you figure it out. Add in her unique markings (which have been compared to a tiny goat - once you see it, you can’t unsee it), and you have a dog who quietly keeps you entertained without ever breaking a sweat. Lucille does have some ongoing medical needs that her future family should be comfortable managing. She requires regular eye and ear medications, along with some supplements, and will need consistent basic Bulldog care like face cleaning and monitoring. She also has some mild vision limitations and can have a bit of trouble going down stairs, so a home that’s mindful of her comfort and mobility will help her thrive. She has some mammary lumps and gingival hyperplasia (common for senior Bulldogs) that her forever family will need to monitor. She's also working on losing weight and will need support to make it all the way over the finish line to a healthy place. Lucille would do best in a calm, structured home that loves to snuggle and appreciates a slower pace of life. She gets along well with other dogs and even cats, and while she’s not particularly demanding, she does expect to be loved properly — preferably with regular scratches and a comfortable place to nap nearby. She's housetrained and uses pee pads indoors. Lucille is not here to impress you with tricks or athleticism. She is here to keep you company, make you laugh, and remind you that life is better when you slow down, get comfortable, and fully commit to the nap. Lucille is approximately 10 years old and 60 lbs. Story
Otis is a sweet, loving, silly, and stubborn English Bull Terrier. He is goofy - loves to lay on his back and wiggle around. He is super chill - one good walk a day keeps him happy, and he'll mostly lounge around the rest of the day. Otis awas found as a stray 10 years ago, when he was estimated to be around 3 years old.  He's been a very loved faimly member ever since. Otis is pretty mellow for the most part, with bursts of energy (aka zoomies) that will make you forget he's 13 years old! Otis enjoys lounging around on his dog bed or the couch. In warmer weather, he'll enjoy lounging outside and sunbathing all day. He loves one walk a day - ideally at his pace, which can involve side adventures to plug his head into a bush for minutes at a time. An ideal home for Otis would be adults only, with no children (including visiting children) and no other pets. Otis can be reactive with other animals, so he must be an only pet. Any exposure to other animals should be avoided or strictly on leash with careful management by a person experienced with handling a strong dog.  He is typically very sweet and calm with adults.  Children can over stimulate him.  The goal is to maintain safety at all times.  For that reason, he needs a child-free home. Otis is house-trained and only has occassional accidents due to his age, but he is very good at using a pee-pad in a designated place when that happens. He is very good on leash for his walks. Otis does have seasonal arthritis, but it is well-managed with a daily anti-inflammatory. Otis (English Bull Terrier, ~13 yrs, 55 lbs) is a sweet, loving, mellow senior who’s happiest with one good walk a day and then lounging the rest of the time. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and in good health. Otis needs a very specific, safety-focused setup: an adult-only home with no small children (including visiting) and no other pets, and someone comfortable managing a strong dog with clear boundaries.  The perfect home for Otia would also need to have experince with his brred.  This senior gentleman will be an excellent addition to the right family.   To learn more about Otis and request an application please reach out to Vivienne by email at  vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  March 12, 2026, 6:44 pm

Story
Bailey’s journey began quietly in a small neighborhood, where she appeared alone and uncertain. She was taken in to keep her safe while every effort was made to find where she belonged. She was shared widely through local lost-and-found groups and scanned for a microchip, but despite many people trying to help, no owner ever came forward.   In the time since, Bailey has had the chance to settle into the comfort of a home for the first time in what is likely a long while. Slowly, you could see her soften—learning that she was safe, that gentle hands could be trusted, and that she didn’t have to figure everything out on her own anymore. She has truly begun to bloom.   Bailey is about 1½ years old, spayed, and fully up to date on her vaccines. She is a deeply affectionate, tender-hearted dog who forms strong bonds with her people. Her greatest joy is simply being close—curled up beside you, resting her head near you, or quietly asking for more time together. With children, she is especially gentle and sweet, as if she understands how to be careful with something precious.   She is crate trained and house trained, and she settles nicely into a home routine. Bailey doesn’t ask for much beyond companionship and reassurance that she belongs.   Because of her history and the way she connects so closely to her person, Bailey can become protective of her people and her valued resources like food and toys. For that reason, she will do best as the only pet in a calm, stable home where she doesn’t have to share her emotional space or feel uncertain. With consistency, kindness, and clear guidance, she thrives and becomes even more confident in who she is.   At her core, Bailey is a dog who loves deeply and quietly, with her whole heart. She is loyal in a way that feels personal, like she has been waiting for someone to choose her and mean it forever. For the right person or family, Bailey won’t just be a pet—she will be a steady shadow, a gentle presence, and a companion who finally gets to exhale and stay.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 15, 2026, 1:46 pm

*Woof* Meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW between 12pm-7pm daily!Nate here — and we have an important date.To go home together soon… honestly, this afternoon would be great. When I first meet someone new, I can be just a tiny bit bashful, but give me a moment and I’ll charm my way straight into your heart. I have the best tail wag in the whole doggie play yard, and I’m pretty sure I’m the cutest one there too. Just look at my adorable face and those sweet, pleading eyes — I’m impossible to resist. One volunteer even said that spending time with me was the highlight of their day. Do you need someone to fill your days with highlights? Then come meet this important Nate and make a date with me. I’m ready for my forever home, and I can’t wait to make you smile.
