Story
Hi there, my name is Rudy Patootie and I’m about the cutest little 9 pound, Pug Chi you will ever meet. Not convinced, look at my photos. Let me tell you a couple details about me that will have you running to place your application. I am about 99% housebroken if taken out frequently. I’m told my personality is “adorable.” Not sure what that means, but I think I am not only clever, but also love dogs, people, toys, treats and wake up every day with renewed joy for life. I can be quite comical. A good day includes enjoying play with the other dogs I share the foster house with, playing with toys by myself when no one wants to play, and putting myself on a convenient lap for short naps or just taking myself to my crate when I’m feeling like a little snooze.       My foster parent says I sleep through the night in my crate without fuss and am quite a congenial, happy little man. My favorite event (after meal time) is a new toy. I am overjoyed even though I love to empty the toy box and love to litter the room with all my old toys. They are my friends and I don’t destroy them. Like many little guys, I do like to bark a bit, but gosh, that’s what dogs do.    My perfect home would be with someone who is at home a lot and in a house, not an apartment or condo. I like to have other dogs to run my energy off. Small children are not good for me because I do like to jump and even though I wouldn’t mean to, I could scratch little ones. I also made a big mistake and climbed a 5 foot high fence to go after a stray cat right on the other side because I was so curious. A privacy fenced yard is necessary to keep me secure because, gosh, I just can’t resist trying to meet critters on the other side.   I promise that if you meet me, you will not be able to resist adopting me.    With slurpy kisses and doggie hugs, Rudy Patootie An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
A FRIENDLY & ADORABLE GUY:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 20 lbs.  Hi, my name is Tex!  I had a home, as I was adopted from Mostly Mutts a few years ago.  Unfortunately, my family fell on hard times, so I am back with Mostly Mutts looking for a new family to love!  Though I’m not the best at smiling for the camera and my pictures may make me look a little grumpy, I am NOT a grumpy boy, but rather friendly and adorable! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like the older dog in my foster home, and the 2 younger and smaller dogs I met recently too!  I do growl at the mostly blind dog when he bumps into me or approaches me in my dog bed, so my foster corrects that behavior and I try to listen, but I don’t love being bumped by him.  I do nap with him at times though.   I met a puppy too that invaded my personal space and I barked at her to let her know this, though I was tolerant.  So, if you have another dog, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, but I am working on my ‘happy to see you’ jumping, so my foster recommends no very young kids that I may bump over and let’s meet!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  When asked, the volunteers at the shelter describe me with one main word – sweet, sweet, sweet!  I was always excited to see them, since I am very much a people dog.  I seek out attention whenever I can and have been very friendly.  When guests leave my foster home, I may tug at their pants as if to stay, ‘no wait, don’t go’! My foster has started picking me up to watch guests leave as it keeps me calm.  I am a ‘wonderful gentleman’ just looking for a family to love and be loved by!  In my foster home, they say that I’m a sweet, friendly, gentle, and a mannerly gentleman too! / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and have shown great leash manners.  I bet you can teach me even more!  I take treats gently too. I consider it my job to be an alert barker like when a delivery person pulls up or a squirrel runs by, and sometimes I bark with the other dogs.  I think I may bark a bit too much at all the noises that are in an apartment building, so probably best no apartment/condo type home.  / I don’t need a crate in my foster home. / I had a few accidents on the shelter schedule but am doing well in my foster home as long as I’m taken out often enough.  My foster has pee pads for her own dog that I’ve learned to potty on, if I need to go and can’t get outside, so you may want to consider having those for me too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I thrive on attention and love being with people!  Scratches and head kisses make me happy, and I enjoy sitting next to my foster family, but not really in their laps.   I’m not a big fan of toys, but I sure would be a fan of being your loving companion! / Though I ride very well in the car, my foster doesn’t think that I love to do that.  I can’t think of any real dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had a dental cleaning, so my mouth is clean again. Since I’m an older fellow, I take an over-the-counter Cosequin supplement that’s good for all older dogs.  I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 26, 2024, 11:37 am

Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE
