Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Freya is the daughter of Gypsy & is bonded with her. This sweet bonded pair loves nothing more than hanging out together. Most days, you’ll find them lounging on their dog beds in the office, hoarding toys, sunbathing, or exploring the yard. They are just the sweetest girls. They will occasionally bark at me when they get excited for their dinner or when I first come home. It is excitement. Freya is Gypsy’s biological daughter. They’re also on Simparica Trio, which works best for them since Gypsy has a flea allergy. Gypsy does have a cherry eye—our vet says it isn’t painful and doesn’t require surgery unless it worsens. They’re housebroken as long as they’re let out on a regular schedule. At night, they sleep peacefully on their beds. While they’re reliable, they may occasionally use a puppy pad if one is available in the home.

Twix was surrendered when her human could no longer care for her. I came to Mostly Mutts when I needed a new home and I am in a wonderful foster home now, just waiting for my furever family to find me—maybe it's you! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met some dogs at Mostly Mutts and didn't seem interested in meeting them—though I showed no aggression, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster says I'm a little doll and love to snuggle. I get very excited when they have company over as I love people! All I really want is to be close to my people! I was a little unsure of the bath sprayer, so I liked to hold onto my bather's arm during my bath, but once I was wrapped up in a towel, I was happy to be held and showered my bather with kisses and tail wags. I have the happiest full-body wags and so much love to give that it's hard not to keep cuddling me! I'm curious and ready to explore the world, especially on walks. / Energy level: 4-6.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the 'sit'  command. I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. In my foster home I sleep in my crate as well as when they go out so I don't get into anything, but it takes me a minute to settle in. / My potty manners have been pretty good on the shelter schedule and I'm still working on it in my foster home, so I'll need my new family to keep me on a good schedule so I can fully master my potty manners.   • LIKES/DISLIKES: Spending time with my people is just the best! After a fun walk outside, I love nothing more than to curl up in a lap on the couch for lots of pets and affection. I'm a loving, sweet girl who thinks kisses, cuddles, and being close to my favorite people are the very best things in the world! / I can't think of any dislikes, though I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I take an inexpensive over the counter Cosequin chew daily is great for my joints. I am looking for a loving home with a great, furever family! Today - we’re going to TALK ABOUT BRUNO! Because Bruno’s story starts hard… but it does not end there. Yes, he was found starving on the streets. Yes, he was neglected. But that is not who he is anymore. A good human stepped in, fed him, loved him, and patiently helped him untangle the fear he carried in his big, blocky head. And what emerged? A 70-pound, short-legged, stout-bodied hunk of devotion with the most kissable jowls you’ve ever seen. We call him “Meatball,” and once you see that big ol’ head and those cheeks, you’ll understand why. Bruno is 1.5 years old — which means he’s got that joyful, slightly clumsy, still-figuring-it-out puppy energy. He’s working on his leash skills and commands and tries so hard to get it right. He wants to please you. He just needs someone confident and steady to show him the way. He thrives with female dogs (he plays beautifully with his foster sister), but he’s not into male dogs. An only-dog home or one with a sweet female companion would be perfect. No kids for this guy — he prefers a calmer environment. And he would truly love a fenced yard to stretch those sturdy little legs. Apartment life just isn’t his vibe. He can be sensitive to loud, sudden noises — vacuums and carpet cleaners are public enemy #1, and thunderstorms make him nervous. But car rides? Pure happiness.
