Meet Pretzel!  Pretzel is a young pup who is bursting with happiness, playful energy, and affection. This cheerful boy has not stopped smiling since arriving in his foster home and is always eager to be part of whatever his people are doing. Pretzel does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and happily follows their lead. He has also been gentle and curious with cats and is doing great with his foster family’s two-year-old daughter. He can jump up when excited, so his family should be prepared to continue working on polite greetings. He loves long walks and walks nicely on leash without reacting to other dogs. After getting his exercise, he settles down for cuddles and is perfectly content curling up on a lap or beside his person. He also enjoys car rides, plush squeaky toys, back rubs, and following his people from room to room. Pretzel sleeps through the night in his crate and is working on potty training. This affectionate, adaptable boy would enjoy an active home that will include him in walks and adventures while leaving plenty of time for snuggling on the couch. He would likely enjoy having a playful canine companion, but his greatest priority is being close to his people and receiving plenty of love and attention. With his adorable underbite, constantly happy expression, and loving personality, Pretzel is the complete package for a family ready to welcome an enthusiastic little shadow into their lives.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. At 8 years old, this classic pug (look at that tongue-out pose! ) has been through a very difficult time. He was found with his beloved owner, who passed away, and he waited faithfully by their side for several days before being found. Understandably, this has left him with some anxiety. He has a lot of love left to give, but he needs to know he isn’t being left behind again. Cash is looking for a forever home where he won't be left alone for long periods. A pet parent who works from home, is retired, or simply has a companion for him would be perfect. He is a truly sweet and gentle boy, and as a true pug, he will tell you his second-favorite thing in the world is mealtime (the first is you). I am currently fostering him and he is ready to show a new family how good he can be. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. As a Rescue do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. Meet Pua! This little pug mix boy is your new pint sized best friend! At 1 years old he has the goofiness of a puppy, but the sweetness of a lap dog. Pua is full grown at 30lbs and is the perfect size for any family or household. He is super sweet with all people and very dog friendly. He loves to run around the yard and then ends it with in your lap. The best part about Pua is his underbite! He is heartworm negative and ready to find his forever home.

All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up.
