Introducing TJ! 🩷 TJ is a 1-year-old Pug/Small Terrier mix with the cutest personality! She’s funny, goofy, and full of life, and she’s always ready to run, play, and have some fun. This girl has plenty of energy for adventures, but once playtime is over, she’s more than happy to settle in for some snuggles. 🥰 TJ is a social little sweetheart who does great with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s currently working on crate training and house training and is doing really well with both! She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever family who will love her silly personality just as much as we do. ❤️

Story
Frank **Not Available to Be Seen Until Open House on Wednesday 09/23** Good with Kids and Dogs! 1.5 yrs./18 lb./Male/Pug Mix Name: Frank Age: 1.5 years Weight: 18 lbs Breed: Pug Mix Status: Compact little charmer looking for his forever person About Me: Hi, I’m Frank! I’ve got the signature wrinkles, curly tail, big brown eyes, and a face with enough character to make it very difficult to take me too seriously. I’m a young adult, which means I have plenty of fun years ahead of me while leaving the baby-puppy stage behind. I’m ready to find people who will make me a true part of their family—whether that means heading out for a walk, tagging along for an adventure, or hanging around the house together. Like any young dog settling into a new home, I’ll benefit from consistency, continued training, enrichment, and time to learn my new family’s routine. Mostly, I’m looking for a place where I can put down some roots and become someone’s little sidekick. At 18 pounds, I won’t take up much room in your house…but I have a feeling I could take up quite a bit of room in your heart. Best Qualities: A great age: At 1.5 years old, I’m still young and ready for plenty of adventures, but those tiny puppy days are behind me. Compact companion: At just 18 pounds, I’m an easy size for sharing everyday life without sacrificing any of the personality. Ready for my person: I’m at the perfect stage to settle into a routine, build a strong bond, and become someone’s loyal little sidekick. Unmistakable charm: Between my curly tail, expressive eyes, forehead wrinkles, and serious little face, I’ve got character to spare. Ideal Match: I’m looking for someone who wants a companion, not just a pet. Give me regular walks, things to keep my brain busy, continued guidance, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with you. I’d love a family who will include me in their everyday life and give me the security of knowing I’m finally home. Deal Breakers: No time for togetherness: I’m looking for people who actually want their dog to be part of their life. Thinking small means no exercise: I may be compact, but I’m still a young dog who needs appropriate activity, enrichment, and opportunities to explore. No interest in continued training: I’m past puppyhood, but consistency and guidance will still help me be the best Frank I can be. Fun Fact: My face naturally looks like I’ve just been informed of something deeply concerning. I promise it’s mostly the wrinkles.

Story
Meet Freya, a sweet girl with a heart as big as her adorable build! She's a crowd favorite thanks to her gentle, affectionate nature and loves nothing more than snuggling with her people, taking leisurely walks, and soaking up the sunshine. Freya gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves people of all ages, and is mostly house-trained. Like any true foodie, she's very food motivated (mealtime is her favorite time of day!), so she'll happily work for treats. She is still learning to love car rides, and not announcing everything she sees when looking out the window.—but she's quick to settle and has been an easy guest in her foster home. After a big life change, Freya quickly blossomed once she realized she was safe and loved in her foster home. Now she's ready to find a forever family to call her own. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to share your couch, your walks, and your heart, Freya may be the perfect match 🌟Please ask our adoption team about Freya's medical needs.

Story
Adoption Donation   $ 499 Located:    RI   Age: approx   3-4   years old  Weight:  14 lbs Meet Stella! This gorgeous girl was found abandoned in a tiny crate with her sister, and when we were asked to help, we obviously said YES.  Stella is now living the foster-life VIP experience while she waits for her forever family to discover what we already know: this girl is something special! ❤️ She can be a little shy and nervous when she first arrives somewhere new. Give her a few days to decompress, though, and suddenly you have a sweet, cuddly, affectionate little shadow who has decided you are her person and personal pillow. Stella is wonderful with other dogs and has a gentle, mild-mannered personality. She pretty much meets everyone and says, “Hi, nice to meet you. Where are the snacks and cuddles?”  She has been to the vet and thankfully no health issues were found. Her spay surgery is already scheduled, so she’s checking all the boxes for her happily-ever-after! What Stella really wants is a home where she can be loved, spoiled, cuddled, adored, and treated like the tiny queen she clearly believes she is. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle best friend with a little shy-girl personality and a LOT of love to give, Stella may just be your girl. ❤️ If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  luvpups02818@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
