Koda Pugota is newly single and ready to mingle. This single mom is counting down the days until she is an empty nester. She birthed a litter of beautiful pug mix babies, has cared for them while they have grown, but now she would like the milk bar to be closed and for her to move on to her own dreams: Being the center of attention. Koda is a 2 yr old, petite pug weighing in sub 20 lbs. She gets along well with other dogs and will often create a "pug pile" if there is another pug around. Pugs cannot resist the magnetic force of another pug! Koda lives an active lifecycle in pug terms. She enjoys having her days sprinkled with walks, play time, couch potato-ing and of course, snore filled naps.Koda is crate trained, but would prefer to have free range of the house. She is working on her potty training. She is a bit nervous when meeting new people, but she has not had a lot of experience in the past 8 weeks of motherhood. We recommended kids over 12 due to her skiddish nature with new people. Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
 1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
 2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success. Vince is a super shy boy, he came from a hoarding situation so he’s very used to other dogs and cats, but his experience of the world has been very little so everything is a pretty daunting right now, he’s going to need a patient, quiet home that will teach him like is ok and there is nothing to be afraid of, time and patience are the key words here, a quieter home would be best, if you have a super social household with lots of people in and out or young kids that can be noisy, he’s not for you. The rewards of becoming the best friend and trusted companion for a dog like this are huge, he’s just needs someone willing to put in a little work and lots of love, it’s got to come from your heart. This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 1-2 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience they have come out of their shells and are adjusting well, into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. This little one has made great progress since joining us, showing much more affection and we can tell feeling generally happier now than when they first got to us. Little shy still? Yes , but making great progress!
