Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:  1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm  2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert: Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. Say hello to this sweetie pie Luna!Luna is a 5 year old female Bulldog mix. She initially came in to us very nervous but as time has gone on, she has blossomed into a special little lady. She is fun, energetic, affectionate, and all around wonderful. She loves to run around and play. She will chase toys but she`s not super huge on bringing them back. At least she`s cute right?! She has become a fan of introducing herself to new people and making herself comfortable very quickly. She is dog selective and could do well with a calm, respectful dog. We are unsure how she would be with cats since she has never lived with them but with slow, proper introductions, she could potentially make a kitty friend. She would do best with calm, older, dog savvy kids that respect dogs boundaries and will be patient while building a bond. Dolce and Bear came to us from a Texas shelter after years of neglect that finally caught up with them. Their former owner was repeatedly required by the shelter to groom Bear. He was left outside all day, became severely matted, and was significantly overweight. Dolce, meanwhile, was known for constantly escaping the yard. Not because she was “bad,” but because she was anxious and trying to cope. When they were surrendered, they arrived with fleas and signs of flea dermatitis. Bear was immediately groomed, started on salmon-based food, and his skin has already improved noticeably. His weight is coming down, and he looks like a completely different dog than when he arrived. What hasn’t changed is their bond. Dolce becomes extremely anxious if she is separated from Bear. He is her anchor. He is her safety. These two have clearly relied on each other to survive an environment that did not meet their needs. They are not puppies. They are not blank slates. They are adults who deserve stability, consistency, and a home that understands that love is not optional care. It is the bare minimum. We will only consider them together. That is non-negotiable. Dolce and Bear are safe now. They are healing. And for the first time, they are being properly cared for.
