Story
Meet Sweet Milou Some dogs just have that special something, and Milou has it in spades. Maybe it's his adorable pug face. Maybe it's his giant smile. Maybe it's the way his whole back end turns into a wiggle machine when he's happy. Whatever it is, this little guy is impossible not to love At around 20 pounds, Milou is the perfect size for adventures, couch cuddles, and everything in between. Once upon a time he was a stray, but those days are long behind him. Now he's soaking up the good life in foster and is ready to find a forever family to share it with. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
She's sweet, perfect, and absolutely adorable - it's Missy Morey! This little lady is everything you'd want in a pug. She snorts, she snores, she has buggy puppy dog eyes (the best for begging for snacks), and she'll hop right into your lap for snuggles when you give her the chance. Morey loves all people and she'd be comfortable going home with a family and young children. She has also lived with other animals and does well, though she prefers dogs who are more her vibe - chill and taking things easy. Morey is house trained, not destructive, and promises to settle right in and become your new best friend. As a senior pug, Morey does have a few medical conditions that need to be monitored over time, but nothing severe or effecting her quality of life. Morey requires regular nail trims to prevent ingrown toenails, routine vet care, and understanding that as a brachycephalic dog she will require A/C and low activity during warm weather. **if you are interested in adopting, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 12-4)**

Story
Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success. The fine print (aka, Charlie’s boundaries): ·       🐶 Other dogs? Hard no. ·       🐱 Cats? Also no. ·       👶 Kids? Not a match — we’re looking for an adult-only home. Charlie wants to be your one-and-only. He’s not here for a group project; he’s here for a solo starring role. He will make his opinions known around other animals, so a pet-free home is essential. The good news? ·       💩 House trained ✔️ ·       🛏️ Crate trained ✔️ ·       ❤️ Loyal, affectionate, hilarious ✔️ Charlie has a big personality and an even bigger heart. With structure, continued training, patience, and a steady supply of treats, he’s going to be someone’s absolute soulmate dog — the kind who sleeps under the covers, follows you everywhere, and loves you like it’s his full-time job. Adopt Charlie — because beneath the spice is a gooey, devoted marshmallow who just wants to snuggle his way into your life (and your bed). 🐾💛 If you are interested in finding out more about Charlie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Charlie is being fostered in Dorchester, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
For Valentine's Day, the Friends of the Taunton Animal Care Facility will cover Bella and Chloe's adoption fee from 2/7 to 2/21. Come and visit Bella and Chloe during the shelter visiting hours and make this Valentine's Day a special day for them! Bella is a German shepherd amstaff mix. She was born on 9/11/21. She is spayed and very healthy. Belle is very affectionate and is good with other dogs including smaller ones. Not a dog for a home with a cat. She loves going for rides and swimming, hiking and generally enjoys being very active. Bella is great with children but can be overwhelming for younger children because she loves to give kisses. She's always been fed high end dog food such as Taste of the Wild, Fromm brand, and Stella and Chewy. She's also used to having somebody cook for her such as green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes and chicken. If interested call Taunton Animal Shelter at 508-822-1463 and ask for Rob Shelter Manager
