Story
Beulah needs a quiet home with someone who can give her lots of attention. She was my mothers constant companion. My mother passed away in December. Beaulah would do very well with a single woman or older couple. Beulah can be high strung and takes medicine for her skin daily (apoquel) and also an anxiety medicine when she has an event (vet visit, visitors to the home, etc.). She would not do well with children. She does not like to be grabbed or reached for - she loves to come to you. She does best when meeting people if she is ignored and allowed to come to the new person at her own pace. She does very well when she is the initiator. She does not bark unless someone comes to the door. She rides well in the car and walks on leash. She is potty trained, crate trained and sleeps well in her own bed. She loves to be outside (weather permitting -she cannot be out in really warm weather). She has bursts of energy - loves to play with her stuffed toys and small balls.

Story
Hello! I’m Tigger—a handsome, fun-loving 3 year old guy with a zest for life and a striking resemblance to Stitch from Lilo & Stitch! I’ve come a long way from a rough start, where I was confined to an outdoor cage with no love or medical care. Now, I’m healthy, happy, and enjoying life with my foster family and dog siblings. I’m crate trained and do well while you're at work, though I still need a belly band when I’m out to prevent accidents. I’d love a patient home to help me continue my potty training. I enjoy walks in the cooler morning and evening hours and love the water—though I can’t swim, I’ll happily take a dip in the pool with a life jacket and a little help! I’m a total foodie who even enjoys fruits and veggies. I do best eating in my crate since I haven’t quite mastered sharing yet. I’m a bit shy at first, but once I know you, I’m incredibly affectionate and love snuggling on the couch while we watch TV. I’m great with older kids but get too worked up around little ones. Ready to bring your very own “Stitch” home? I can’t wait to meet you! Story
Hi, I’m Capone, the sweetest, happiest boy you’ll ever meet! I love pets so much that I go into a total state of bliss—I’ll never want you to stop! I get along with all dogs and will happily play with anyone who’s up for it, but if they’re not, I’ll just share my toy instead. That’s just the kind of easygoing guy I am! I’m crate trained, leash trained, and super cuddly—a true velcro baby. Because of a back injury, I use wheels to get around, and I wear diapers, but don’t worry, I don’t mind at all! I just need a few diaper changes a day and some time without one to prevent rashes. My dream home has plenty of space for me to zoom around in my wheels and a family who will take me on walks and to the park. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving pup, I’m your guy! My adoption fee is $675. Thank you for supporting our rescue efforts! Howdy y’all! I’m Alex, a beautiful 5 year old Frenchie boy. I weigh 32 pounds. I’m a laid back chill guy who just loves to be the center of attention. Wherever you go, I shall follow. I absolutely love playing fetch with my ball and chewing on my toys. I get along with other doggies and am good with kids too. I am house and leash trained, and I’m good at following commands. Story
Please welcome silly boy Scooby to the rescue. He is 4-5 yrs, likes the dogs here and is housetrained, working on learning pet door. He is a bit thin and we are working on getting weight on his little frame. This guy was too sick to be in the shelter for his normal stray hold in hopes of finding his owners. He was released due to medical concerns and was skin and bones. He is a small guy, and so sweet. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
