Lil Bit has got to be the sweetest and most mild mannered little senior dog. He is 11 years old and has the cutest, dignified, graying face. He weighs 17 lbs, has extra long legs, and extra tall ears. He's definitely a mix breed, but we just can't figure out what the mix could be. He came to Humane Tomorrow with his sister, Coco, when their person sadly passed away. Although they are comfortable with each other, they are not strongly bonded and can be adopted separately. Lil Bit has a passive nature and is happy to allow other dogs to lead the way. He will also be fine as an only dog, so he can get all the cuddles! He may be a ltitle reserved at first, but once he feels safe and secure, his super sweet love bug side comes out. Lil Bit is potty trained, not a big barker and walks well on leash. Gumbo arrived at Humane Tomorrow before he was born! His very pregnant mom was pulled from a shelter and went directly to a foster home. Mom had five precious puppies a few days later on 7/24/26. Gumbo shares his foster home with sister Toulouse and sister Tulane. All three are super sweet and cuddly. They love to be held. They wrestle and play together and with toys. It's so funny to see them go after toys bigger than they are! They get the zoomies and run and run and run in circles then collapse in a pile of puppies. Tulane, Toulouse, and Gumbo will be at our adoption event on Saturday 9/26, from 11 am - 1:30 pm at the Hollywood Feed in Bartonville, 3400 FM 407E, Suite 200-30. Tosha is a seven-year-old, 9 lb, Chihuahua mix. She looks like a Deer-Head Chihuahua, maybe with a small mix of Pomeranian or something equally as adorable. She is a pretty little girl, with a lovely greyish brown coloring, almost like the color of a Weimaraner, with soft eyes to match. Tosha's former person was having health issues and could no longer take care of her, so Humane Tomorrow promised we would find Tosha another wonderful home. She is in excellent health due to the care she received in her previous home. She is a very sweet little dog, but it may take her a little time to warm up to new people, which is understandable after the changes she has been through. She gets along well with most of the other dogs in her foster home, but she would also do just fine as an only dog. She has been around some older children that are dog savvy but probably would not do well if they are around 24/7. Tosha will do best in a home where it is relatively calm and quiet, with not much activity, as she likes the leisurely lifestyle. She will sit next to you as you read or watch TV. She likes to go for walks, and likes attention, but on her terms, once she has gotten used to you. Kramer is a distinguished senior gentleman, 14 years young. He qualifies for our senior discount adoption fee of $125. We think he may be a mix of Shiba Inu and Chihuahua, but that's just our best guess. He was living a perfectly happy and content life until his people became too ill to care for him. Humane Tomorrow promised to find him another forever home. He has settled into the routine at his foster home very well. Kramer loves his meal time, treats, nap time, car rides, snuggling, and evening walks. He is house and crate trained. He gets along with the cats in his foster home, but he mostly stays out of their way. Kramer would be an excellent only dog, but he may do fine with an older, laid back dog. He likes to snuggle on his own terms, but he not like to be picked up or held. Lucky is a sweet 5-year-old, 18 lb Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. He is looking for a forever home where he can spend his days being loved, cuddled, and included in family life. He's a gentle, loving little guy who adores people and absolutely loves a good lap. He gets along with the resident dogs and loves exploring the backyard, sniffing around on leisurely walks, and then settling in beside his favorite person for some quality cuddle time. Lucky is house-trained and does well staying home by himself for reasonable periods of time. Story
Max is an 8-year-old, 18 lb Pomeranian/Shiba Inu mix. Breed mix is just our best guess. Max’s coat was in horrible shape when he first came, extremely filthy and matted. Foster mom bathed him several times, and the vet tech removed the mats at the same time he was neutered. Then, a professional groomer gave him another bath and shaped up his coat. Max is now a very clean and handsome boy! It is critical that his new owner provide the grooming care that his long, thick coat requires. Max has one ear that stands up and one ear that flops over, which just adds to his cuteness and charm. He doesn’t bark much but when he does, his bark is more of a honk (like a goose). Very cute! Max LOVES toys! He needs to have a toy to chew on that he can destroy. He’ll take his toy with him everywhere he goes (outside and inside). He needs to have toys available at all times, to keep him from chewing something he shouldn't. He is possessive of his toys (not food), just his beloved toys. Max loves to roam the yard and work the fence with the big dogs in his foster home, but he also loves being a lap dog and taking long naps. Max would do best in a quiet house where someone is around most of the time. In return, he will be the sweetest companion and lap dog. He attaches quickly to his primary care giver so a transition to a quiet house will be very smooth sailing. Max has heartworms because he was not kept on heartworm prevention.
