Story
Dante is a 2.5 month old, 12 lb Beagle mix puppy, and we are guessing that he is part Dachshund due to his short little legs. He has handsome black and tan markings, and he is the most laid-back of the litter. He has a sweet personality. Dante loves playing with his litter mates, toys of all types, running around the yard to explore all the new things in his world, and getting cuddles from his foster mom. He will keep you smiling with his cuteness and sweetness. He keeps his crate clean, but is still working on being 100% housetrained. Dante still has his sharp little baby teeth and nails, so we are recommending no kids under the age of 6. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Just look at this sweet face, worrying and wondering why he hasn't been adopted yet! Dirk is a 3 month old Beagle mix puppy. We think he might be mixed with Yellow Lab, but that is just a guess. Weighing in a 15 lbs, he is the biggest of the litter and has a big personality to match. Dirk loves playing with his litter mates, toys of all types, running around the yard to explore all the new things in his world, and getting cuddles from his foster mom. He will keep you smiling with his cute antics. He keeps his crate clean, but is still working on being 100% housetrained. Story
Dixie is a two year old, 13 lb Beagle/Chihuahua mix, but the breed mix is just our best guess. Foster mom says she is a super a sweet girl. She is very loving and affectionate and enjoys snuggling next to her people. She enjoys playing with the other two dogs in her foster home, and they run around the yard and wrestle. Dixie also enjoys playing with toys, but mostly she takes them to the backyard and leaves them. She rarely barks. Dixie really enjoys her food and will scarf it down, so using some type of slow feeder will help. Dixie walks well on a leash and is friendly with everyone she meets. Dixie is such an easy going girl, she will fit it with just about any type of home, and she will be a wonderful companion. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Through on-going health issues, my friend has moved into an assisted living residence & needs to find homes for his 2 dogs, This is Barry, a healthy, happy boy, neutered, up to date on all vet care, & chipped. Barry (black & brown beagle-mix?, 40 lbs) is 12 years old, found on the street when he was 1. He's friendly to everyone, no aggression to people or other dogs & has lives with a variety of other dogs of all ages & size. And, until recently, he lived a heated/air conditioned garage with open dog door & fenced yard. Had no need for potty training he loves spending short times in the house, lounging on the sofa. Barry loves to run around the yard & explore. He isn't used to walks on leashes but is fairly calm when leashed, with only a bit of pulling. He's been around small children for short periods of time & is friendly. His dad just wants him & his friend, Robert to continue to lead healthy, happy lives.

Buddy is a 3 yr old Beagle mix with a very sweet disposition. He loves to cuddle and wants to be your very best friend. He loves everyone...dogs and cats as well!  He is super sweet.  He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines. He is very playful around other dogs. And ignores the cats. He only barks when the other dogs start barking. He loves his tummy rubs and especially likes his tail and belly scratched.  What a great all around smaller dog.  He is about 2 years old and weighs 28 lbs. ##1706607##

Story
Meet  Marilynn!  She id  5 to  6 years old and weighs 23 lbs. good with older children, has not had kids in her life so uncertain with younger.  The owner is giving her up because his 10 month old puppy plays too rough with her.  She is afraid of bigger dogs because of this, but likely can learn to adjust. She was fine with an older large dog so certainly the puppy just scares her.. She is well trained, would be great for an older couple with an empty nest...  Marilynn needs a new home, ideally as the only dog, because she wants ALL the attention, lol. She is fine with other pets (preferably a small dog) she is GREAT with people, should be fine with older kids, she is very loving, well-behaved and house broken. She is happy to do whatever you are doing be it sitting around on the couch watching TV or running in the fields on trails she is a lover. She is fine with cats.   Perfect little pup!  She has one pretty blue eye and the other is brown. ##2033354##

Story
Meet Scout, our people-loving, lounge happy dog! She will turn 10 years old this year but is very young at heart. Scout is a beagle-cocker spaniel mix and weighs in at just under 24 pounds. She has a beautiful golden/tan color and is often complimented on her good looks from neighbors and passers by. We adopted Scout when she was about 3 years old (best age guess from shelter). We donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t have any history on her background prior to the shelter, but we do know she loves people, does well around kids as long as they arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t poking and pulling at her, and is very content just lounging around in close distance to her human companions.

Scout is a semi-active mature dog who loves to run around the back yard chasing squirrels, followed by some relaxing sunbathing time. She gets bursts of energy and does a few zoomies when we return home for the evenings and enjoys the occasional dog treat (especially anything peanut butter flavored). Scout does not get along with other dogs or cats and would do best in a home where she is the only pet. She currently lives with our family of four, including two young boys ages 5 and 1. We are looking to find Scout a loving home where her companions are able to spend more time at the house with Scout.

Currently, both parents are working outside the home full time and we often have kid activities in the evenings and on weekends, making it difficult to provide Scout with ample outdoor time and bathroom breaks. We are also expecting a third child in September, and are worried the added noise and activity in the household will not be best suited for Scout. An ideal home for her would be one with no other pets, at least one person who is home most days or able to come home during the lunch hour or early afternoon to let Scout outside, and one with older kids or no kids at home. While Scout is kid friendly, she appreciates low key households and more relaxing time near her companions. She does like to get outside and let some energy out once or twice a day, but itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a short bit of energy, maybe 10 minutes or so running around the yard.

Scout is house trained. She is one smart dog! She does have some skin allergies, which we treat with a monthly (4-6 weeks) Cytopoint shot. Alternatively, she can take Apoquel daily. We also feed her prescription Royal Canine dry dog food. She is healthy, happy, and up to date on vaccines.

Story
Meet Stella, a sassy, beauty sleep-catching, and sophisticated 10-year-old female dog whose calm demeanor and big brown eyes captured the hearts of her forever family back in 2017 when she was adopted from Dallas Pets Alive. Sadly, after her owner passed away, Stella found herself in need of a new forever home. Now, with her foster family, Stella has proven to be a delightful companion, especially for her furry foster brothers, with whom she shares a peaceful coexistence.

Although she prefers the laid-back life and isn't particularly interested in play, Stella's affectionate nature shines through as she showers her loved ones with wiggles and kisses. Stella is crate-trained and thrives in a calm environment. Stella's routine includes gentle outdoor breaks and quiet companionship throughout the day. With her sophisticated yet sassy personality, Stella would flourish in a calm home, where she can continue to be the sleepy sweetheart she is, offering her unique brand of affection and charm to her new forever family. Stella would make a great buddy for a work-from-home professional.

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on
vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
