Story
HE IS TOO CUTE but I am exhausted. This boy is a very affectionate, playful, attention grabbing pup. Born 8/19/2025 to a breeder. My husband thought it would be a good idea to get a dog. But he travels. Travels 4-6 weeks, at a time. I objected and was overruled. My husband now sees the error of his ways. I work a full time job, have a 16 yr old and am basically single parent. I have cats for a reason. He is a great dog. Is working well on basic commands. Sits, lays. Working on stay and so far it is going well. He works ok on a leash. No pull is a command we have been working on. He is very treat driven. He is ok with the cats. He does try to pull on them, he is a terrier after all. He goes to daycare 5 days a week when my husband is on the road. HE LOVES DAYCARE. He eats farmers dog topped with kibble. Gets Mike & Sammies dog treats/chews. Loves his bully sticks. Because we live downtown, we use doggie lawn (name brand) potty sod for the balcony. He is house broken. I am worn out.

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Mom and three puppies transferred from Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley in NM. Mom was found with two puppies in a pipe at a data center construction/mine site and brought to the shelter. After leaving, two more puppies were found. The fourth puppy ultimately was euthanized around 5 weeks old because she wasn't gaining weight and her lungs were rattling, but the other three were healthy. All were UTD on vaccines but not yet spayed at time of intake. From the foster: Hello! I’ve been told I am supposed to write something to impress you in hopes of finding my furever family, so here it goes! My name is Ruth, but most call me Ruthie. I believe I am about 2.5 years old. I gave birth to puppies about 8 weeks ago, and since then it has been quite the whirlwind. I was brought up here from New Mexico and picked up by some lady called my “foster mom.” She brought me to her home and introduced me to her dog, and we’ve been best friends since. In my short time at my foster mom’s, we have found that I get along with every dog I have met. The bigger dogs do intimidate me a bit, but I come around quickly! My foster mom works from home during the day, but I occupy myself pretty well playing with her dog and catching up on my beauty sleep. In the evenings, I enjoy lying next to my foster mom or her dog, receiving all the pets I can. I am not the biggest fan of toys so far, but I will never turn down a bully stick (p.s. my foster mom says I hold the record in longest time chewing on a bully stick… currently about 3 hours). One other important thing to note about me is I have discovered windows and mirrors, in which this dog that kind of looks like me is often staring back… yeah… I am not a fan. Sometimes, I can be a little anxious, as I am still new to not having my puppies with me, but with some time, and of course many cuddles, I know I can be a great addition to your family. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Meet BowlenBowlen is a mellow, sweet senior boy who loves nothing more than cuddling and burrowing under blankets. He’d thrive with a family or a constant companion who can give him the extra love he adores. With slow, thoughtful introductions, he can enjoy canine friends—he previously loved snuggling with his dog brother!Bowlen needs an experienced owner familiar with leash and barrier reactivity. A meet-and-greet is required if there’s another dog in the home to help him feel comfortable.

Story
Eddie is about 1 year old. He was dumped with his mother and a sibling on farm property. The mother died and it took a few weeks to lure the pups to safety. A neighbor took one pup, and I kept Eddie. He had bite marks on his head and neck and was very afraid of people and animals. He is great one on one, and loves to cuddle, but he can get aggressive when frightened. I had a bad accident where my leg was broken in two places, had surgery, and cannot walk, leaving his care to my son and daughter in law. He has been too hard to handle for them as they have their own dog. I cannot walk him or put him out to potty, and won’t be able to for 3-6 months. I love Eddie but can’t handle him in this condition. He has had some trauma and will need patience and attention. He has lots of energy and is very smart. I am heartbroken to lose him but I have to heal from my injuries and I can’t take care of him. I don’t trust him around kids or other animals, but he’s a loving companion for one person.
