Scottie is a 2.5 year old rat terrier (Purebred-I did an Embark test) that I got from a FB post on a group I follow. His original family needed him rehomed asap and didn't ask for a fee so I just paid them for any of his belongings (crate, food, clothes, leashes). I have other dogs and they're big (Great Danes) so a small dog was a bit outside my comfort zone but he was so cute and I thought how hard could it be. I soon realized what people say about the small dog personality is true. I have cats also and since getting Scottie I realize he has a VERY high prey drive. Scottie is the same size as some of my cats (he's 17-18.5 lbs) and tries to sniff them out and square down with them every chance he gets so they have to be separated for safety but my cat is having kittens and I can no longer take the risk. With other dogs he's fine and very playful. I don't have kids so I'm not sure about that but he loves walks and is an escape artist and will find any gaps in a fence or backyard.

Rio came to us as an owner surrender when his family was losing their home to eviction. He was one of a number of dogs in the home that needed new homes, and we were able to take 3 of them. Rio is a friendly boy who is somewhat timid when he first meets new people or encounters new situations. He warms up quickly! There's no aggression - he's just a little scared at first.\ He loves other dogs and we would like to see him in a home with at least one other dog. He was best friends with a dog in his former home, and seems to love having a canine companion or two. He would be happy to live with children 10 years old or older. Meet little Minnie! Found abandoned in a motel parking lot, Minnie has definitely been through a lot in life. Estimated 10-12 years, tiny Minnie has the energy of a much younger dog! She loves a long walk, eagerly jumps up on the couch with her foster humans, and can’t resist a delicious treat. Minnie is house trained and does not have accidents in her foster home! She enjoys walking calmly on a leash and walks well with the other small dog in the home. When it comes to cats, Minnie is your girl! She happily lives and shares space with 5 cats in her foster home, even getting in her cozy bed with one sometimes! She does well with other small dogs too. Given that Minnie is an older lady, we recommend she is adopted to a home with older children (or none at all!). She lives with elementary school aged kids in her foster home, and is very behaved with them, but we think she would appreciate a calmer and quieter environment as she ages!
