Story
Jayden is a sweet pup with basic house and obedience training including crate training. She is very high energy, curious, and eager to learn new tricks. Her favorite games are tug, fetch, and chase, and she loves a good squeaky toy. I think she would do best in a single person household, preferably someone who woks from home and has lots of time and energy to dedicate to training and entertaining her. Jayden does struggle with reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, and fear-based aggression. We have been working with her vet and a behavioral vet to develop a behavioral modification plan which currently includes anti-anxiety medications. I know that she will be the perfect companion for someone with time and dedication to help conquer her fears and I want to find her a forever home where all of her needs are met.

Story
Imagine, if you can, a country girl version of Paris Hilton, and that would be OUR gal, Paris! This blonde, 6-month-old mix of Rat Terrier and Black Mouth Cur, weighs a slim 35 pounds and will be a medium size when mature. She has long legs and beautiful eyes. Instead of strutting the catwalk, she’s running through the woods and checking out nature. Paris is very approachable and loves everyone she meets, (humans and canines), so she’d happily pose for a photo and autograph. She would easily settle in to family or single life but be advised…her lovely face and sweet personality may attract a lot of attention! (6/13/24, R)    **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  July 25, 2024, 4:15 pm

IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Clarity - Clarity is a petite puppy who is about 3 months old and weighs about 10 lbs. Clarity is a sweety and playful puppy who has also has a "chill" side. Clarity loves to chase tennis balls and when outside playing in the yard she loves to find sticks and mulch - lol. Clarity is working hard on her house and crate training. While Clarity is not in a foster home with children we feel she would do well with children ages 8 years and up. Young puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Izzy. This sweet young pup was abandoned by her owner in Lake Wylie, SC. They decided they no longer wanted her and just dropped her off in a neighborhood and left her there defenseless to fend for herself. Some tenants in the community started feeding her but when they were evicted and had to leave, Izzy was once again on her own. A Good Samaritan saw her lying on the deck of the empty home waiting for their return and reached out to Worthy Dog for help. This sweet girl deserves so much better, and our team is already working hard to give that to her. Izzy is in a foster home with a mom and dad, three dogs, and two cats. She was immediately accepted into the pack and has good doggy energy. She respects her pack and shares food/attention well. She also connects to her human quickly, and once she settles in, she's very much a lap dog.   Izzy is crate-trained and quickly learned to use the doggy door. She has good house manners and has already earned free roam privileges in the home. She's done well meeting visitors to her foster home and loves people — it takes her a minute to warm up but once she does, she’s all about the pets. Izzy has been through a lot of change over the last few months and was anxious when she first arrived at her foster home. She whined for a day or two when left alone, needing time to trust her new environment...but who can blame her? Like many Terriers, she can be vocal at times, so we don't feel she's a great fit for a condo or apartment and would benefit from having a dog buddy or two in her new home. She does settle in and work through things, but being part of a pack helps with her confidence and makes her less anxious. Izzy has a natural joy for life. She is super sweet and cuddly, loves to give kisses, and loves her toys. She has a moderate energy level and is a happy little dog who will make a great companion.  Apply today! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Small and full of the joy of life, Angel has super long, slender legs and a loving temperament. She was raised around many other dogs and cats and is good with all of them. She loves to be with her person and enjoys car rides. Always interested and happy to see and try new things, you would never know she is an older girl unless she told you she was 7. Healthy and happy, she was born to be a companion dog and her small natural weight and size have helped her with that goal. She tries hard to always be a good girl and will look to her human to see what is expected. Long done with puppy nuttiness, she has learned the wisdom of being able to sit quietly, but really enjoys being out and about, too. If you are thinking of adding a little girl to your home, Angel is a perfect choice.   If you are interested in Angel, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 23, 2024, 10:55 am
