Story
Transported over hundreds of miles and through tropical storm Ophelia, The Post Office 3 are indeed a special delivery of a trio of tiny rat terrier mixes! They were being given away at a post office in rural Louisiana before one of our rescue partners saved them from an uncertain future. In spite of their age, their personalities are already emerging as they greeted everybody with adorable wags and wiggles at their first adoption event! Poncho (Male, White with mocha splashed on one ear) is the tallest of the three and tries to be the first to the food bowl and toys, but being shorter does have its advantages in such instances for Paco (Male, Tri-color) and Pearl (Female, White with brindle accents). True to their terrier roots, all three are alert, active and demand attention! They would adapt very well to a home that will provide plenty of exercise, skill training, and quiet time nestled near their loved ones. They would do best in households with older children and adults. While they are working on taking their business outside, their indoor penned area allows for playtime and paper training. The puppies are crated for their naps, overnight, and when the foster has errands to run. Though they currently are no bigger than a postage stamp (ok, I exaggerate), rest assured that they will fulfill the role of canines with pizzazz! As small dogs are in high demand, please don’t delay in sending us your inquiries or applications. The Post Office 3 have come a long way to find their forever homes, and the sooner the better! Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org September 29, 2023, 7:05 pm

Story
Meet our resilient duo, Trina and Rollo! Trina is a 3-year-old Rat Terrier/ Feist mix weighing 21lbs! Rollo is a 4-year-old Griffon Terrier mix weighing 20lbs! Trina wears a short, black and white coat, while Rollo wears a medium, scruffy yellow coat! Trina and Rollo were rescued from a hoarding situation where they were not socialized with humans. It took them some time to warm up to rescue staff but once they did, there was no holding them back! These two love to play and chase each other, cuddle together, and eat together. They both love to play with other dogs as well as cats! They may do better with children 8 and older, due to their shy nature! Because of their dependence on each other, they must be adopted together to live with the same family.  They deserve to stay together. Give these two your home, and they will give you their hearts!  Please read more about their rescue story at https://www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org/rescue-stories/hoarded-dogs-rollo-and-trina-a-bonded-pair .(ME, 9/10/23) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption Fee for bonded pair, including Transport, if needed: $ 500September 30, 2023, 3:48 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bunny is a 3 yr old female Rat Terrier mix who currently weighs 30 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, HW neg and fully vaccinated. Bunny is social, listens well, crate trained and loves car rides and is house trained. She walks well on a lead and looks forward to daily walks in the neighborhood. Bunny, as of now, does not like to share her food bowl with other dogs. We suggest crating her for feeding if you currently have another dog she would share the residence with. This behavior is absolutely trainable. Please submit an application at https://form.jotform.com/hailmaryrescue/hail-mary-rescue-adoption-applicati and our adoption coordinator will contact yoU Bunny will be available to meet and adopt on 10/14 at the Warrenton VA Tractor Supply.
