Puppies! This little cutie is ready to pack his bags and head to his new home. Zander and his siblings have had an awesome mother who has tended them to perfection. He is ready to be a couch potato. The largest of his litter, Zander just wants to hang with his people. They were all well socialized, happy and healthy. Momma is 20 lbs and potentially a rat terrier mix. She is amazing and very friendly. Daddy's stats are unknown, however he was certainly than 20 lbs. The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Story
Junior is a miracle dog who was hit by a car but has made a nearly full recovery. He is a 7 ½ year old, 19 lb. rat terrier mix who was originally picked up as a stray in NC. The shelter noticed he was guarding his left rear leg and put him on pain medication until he arrived to his foster home in MD. As a result of his accident, he suffered  fractures and has healed with a 'crooked' pelvis. To manage his pain, Junior is still on a low dose medication (approx. $10-30/month) that helps with normal day to day activities. Junior's vet notes him as 'very sweet', and if he sees a head or chin scratch coming he will politely take it and move in for more. He might bark outside when he sees people ahead but is easily corrected and is learning that many neighbors give head and chin scratches too! Junior doesn't seem too interested in toys, but he can definitely be playful!  He is completely housetrained.Although he did well with his canine foster siblings, he can be a bit unpredictable when interacting with them or new dogs on his walks. He may be a bit too dominant or bossy for other dogs, so he would love to be the only loving pup in your home. He would probably not do well around small children either.Junior's best home is one where he is the only pup, there are no wood stairs, and his humans are home most of the time. He is crate-trained but would prefer not to be crated for long periods of time. Due to his pelvis condition, we are looking for a local adopter who is able to meet Junior. No accident could stop this handsome boy's spirit, and he is eager to find the place he belongs. You can see more photos of sweet Junior at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/junior Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. October 22, 2024, 4:46 pm

She will give you devotion, friendship, days of fun, nights of cuddling, years of memories. Most of all, she will give you her heart.
