Story
My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Here's what the humans have to say about me: Oscar is an adorable Rat Terrier mix who is approximately 3-4 years old and currently weighs 15 pounds. He came to our rescue from a pretty stressful environment where there were 80 dogs all living in a small home together. Despite coming from these overcrowded living conditions , Oscar is a sweet little dog who is learning what it’s like to get lots of love and affection. Oscar is a tenderhearted little boy, who does need a warming up period to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Coming from the home he was in, he was not handled very much, so he is still learning that one on one attention is a pretty wonderful thing. Once he settles in and learns to trust, his sweet personality will start to shine through. He does get along well with other dogs, and pretty much minds his own business! Oscar has bonded with his care givers here at the rescue and lets me love on him and give him treats! Watch his new video! Oscar is looking for a patient family who understands his background and can give him the loving home he deserves. We do think he would do better in a quieter home with older children. Oscar is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here- https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing, Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip

Maybelline is another puppy found abandoned on the streets of San Antonio! We are simply over run with beautiful little souls whose only purpose in life is to find that one person who let them love for the rest of their life. Maybelline is one of the most beautiful souls I have seen in a long time. She wants nothing more than be devoted to her person for as long as she lives. She just needs someone to give her a chance! Are the one who is willing to give her a try? I promise you won’t regret it!

Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Story
Welcome Keeley to CCPAL Rescue. Keeley is a 12.5-year-old 15-pound Rat Terrier. She was found as a stray at one of the local convenience stores. Keeley had a microchip. The owners were called and they gave her away years ago. There was another person listed and they also gave her away. Now Keeley has no owners. She is an absolute sweet heart and very smart. People love the Rat Terrier breed for a good reason. These dogs are intelligent and very sweet. I have yet to meet a mean one. Her teeth haven’t been cleaned in a while but we have found that Probright Tooth powder works great for helping remove the buildup. She will need a dental in the near future. She is good with other dogs, loves to go outside, has good recall when you ask her to come, potty trained and loves car rides. She hasn’t been around a cat so we don’t know but her personality would make me think she would be good. She is around small fluffy dogs and big ones and gets along well causing no trouble. She would be great for the older couple or single person wanting a lower maintenance and happy companion. She is getting the slow kill method of heart worm treatment now. We will continue the treatment until adopted and give 6 months of the tablets so they can be continued. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Story
Meet Gabby ntroducing Gabby! abby is an adorable Wire Fox Terrier mix puppy who is approximately 4 months old and currently weighs 4 pounds. We rescued this little gal from the Weslaco shelter in South Texas near the border of Mexico. We don’t know how she ended up in the shelter but we are so happy she is here with us to find her loving, forever home. Gabby is a typical happy, playful puppy! She is very sweet and enjoys exploring and playing here at the rescue. She is curious, social and enjoys being held. She has a big, dynamic personality and in true terrier fashion, she is very smart and likes to be busy and engaged. We can really see her doing well in a home where she can get lots of attention and playtime with her family. She will be a good fit for family who understands and has experience with the terrier breed. As with any puppy, Gabby would benefit from basic obedience training to help her learn her manners and be the best puppy she can be. She would be a great companion to grow up in just about any family environment. She enjoys playing with other dogs and would be a fun buddy for another dog her size. We have no idea who mom and dad are so we can only estimate that any will be a smaller medium-sized dog full grown. She is just a fun puppy who can’t wait to find a home of her own! Gabby is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and will be available for adoption after May 11th , 2024. Prior to adoption, Gabby will be spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations/shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $375. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. Story
My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Meet Laura! Laura is a cute little Jack Russell Terrier mix who is approximately 5 months old and currently weighs 7 pounds. we rescued her from the La Joya shelter in south Teas near the border of Mexico. She came to us scared, but sweet and we suspect that she probably hasn’t been handled much in the environment they came from, and people may not have been very kind to her. She is currently in a wonderful foster home where she has been settling in nicely and her little personality is coming through more and more every day. She does have a warming up period, but once she feels safe, she is happy to sit on a warm lap and get love and affection. She will need to go to a patient, quiet, home without small children, so she can feel safe and continue to work on her socialization. She is gentle, tenderhearted and kind, she just likes to take things slow in the “getting to know you” period. Once she is bonded, she will be a loyal, loving companion. Initially, she will require lots of supervision as living in a home is still new to her. She is full of love and will be a typical happy terrier puppy after she understands her new environment. Located in a loving foster home in San Antonio, TX Adoption fee is $375.
