Story
Pryncess may have a name fit for a throne, but she’s actually a very modest and quiet girl. She is a shy-but-sweet soul who prefers to observe from the sidelines until she knows she’s safe. Once she trusts you, however, she reveals her true colors—a devoted, tender-hearted companion who will follow you with quiet loyalty. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2674221##

The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2707330##

Story
Rodriga is a gentle, soft-natured puppy who may take a moment to feel comfortable, but once she does, her affectionate personality shines. She starts out a bit reserved in new situations, quietly observing the world around her, but with a little patience, she quickly warms up into a loving and cuddly companion. She thrives on closeness and enjoys being near her people, often melting into them once she feels safe. Rodriga does well with other dogs and has been around children, showing she can fit nicely into a variety of homes. She’s also doing well with crate training and making steady progress with potty training. Rodriga would do best with someone who understands that trust takes a little time, but the reward is a deeply loyal, loving dog who will form a strong bond and bring a calm, comforting presence to the home. They were rescued from a kill shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Story
Reya is a bright, happy puppy who brings a great mix of confidence and playfulness. She loves meeting new people and greets them with curiosity and excitement, quickly making herself at home wherever she goes. Her friendly, social nature makes her a great fit for a home with other dogs or one where she can be the center of attention. She’s off to a strong start with her training — Reya does well in her crate both during the day and overnight, is making good progress with potty training, and settles nicely into a routine. She’s also a great eater and adjusts well to car rides. Like any young dog, she’s still learning, especially when it comes to leash skills, but she’s eager and adaptable. Reya’s affectionate, playful personality and easygoing nature make her the kind of dog who will quickly become a beloved part of the family. They were rescued from a kill shelter in New Mexico.
