My name is S'mores. I am about 10 months old and 55 lbs. My poundage doesn't translate to the way I look! You will be surprised, I am not that big! I am a gorgeous almost painted brindle. My breed mix? Ridgeback? Cur? Hound? Terrier? We aren't totally sure but I am a handsome man. I am a very sweet and gentle dog. My most favorite thing in the world? Kids. Just like my brother Red, who was adopted recently, kiddos just make me feel good. I am the most trusting of the smaller humans at first. In my first foster home, I lived with young children and was very attached to them. In my NJ foster home, I also love my older kids. I am great with dogs too. I am submissive but once I trust, I will want to play and interact. I am good at reading the room with other animals. I won't push my limits but I am friendly. I am housebroken and crate trained; although, I have basically aged out of the crate at least at night. I would absolutely be great living with another dog friend if that is an option. If not, I could live as your one and only too. I will need a patient family that understands I may be hesitant about some new life things - trash trucks for one! This boy was adopted from us two and a half years ago but his adopter can't keep him due to recent health issues. Lids is a three-year-old, 75 pound boy who is full of energy, and love. He's a cuddler and an affectionate boy! He is looking for a family who can show him love and patience, and work with him if needed. He is good with humans of all ages, including kids. But we recommend older kids because of his energy. He is good with dogs, but like most dogs, he will need a proper introduction. No cats for him. He is housebroken and knows commands for 'sit', 'down', 'off', 'high five' and 'come'. He does need some work with his leash walking skills. The best home for Lids will be: With an active owner who can take him hiking, running, or do agility with him. A friendly and playful resident dog (if there already is a dog in household).
