Franny is a gentle soul who’s come a long way since arriving. Once very timid and unsure, she's steadily gained confidence and learned to enjoy the world around her. She's easy to leash up and walks beautifully without pulling or freezing. She even takes treats gently from your hand, a sweet sign of growing trust. Franny is not too interested in toys and doesn’t seem to know any tricks just yet, but she’s shown a playful side — trotting around the play yard with happy little zoomies and pretending to be chased, only to dart away with a sparkle in her eye. She enjoys pets and will calmly stay by your side as long as you're offering affection. Franny gets along well with other dogs and lived peacefully with canine companions in a previous foster home. This quiet, sensitive girl is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to grow in confidence.

Melody is a 6 year old lovable Rhodesian Ridgeback mix highly energetic dog that would be a great companion for someone that has the space and time to make sure that she gets plenty of activity. I love my dog dearly but I had an unexpected pregnancy at 45 when I was told I could not have kids. As a single mom I am finding it difficult giving her the time she deserves and not quite comfortable having her around my toddler. She has never been aggressive with kids but she was adopted so I don’t know her past history before I got her. She gets a daily walk by a dog walker. Melody’s health is great except she has Addisons disease. Her body does not make enough cortisol so she requires a steroid shot every month that costs about $125 a month. I give the shot myself at home and can teach you! I take her in to the vet every six months to check it out. I will supply 4 months of the medication if you adopt her. I was asked to shelter Zina until a new home was found. I already have 3 working dogs and 2 Corgi's. Zina has only been aggressive with one dog since she has been here and this was during a storm which my dog probably started it. Zina belonged to my nephew and his wife, but they are going through a divorce and cannot care for her. Zina has a very sweet disposition. We are on a 35 acre ranch and she has never attempted to chase anything or run off. She knows how to kennel, sit, stay and down. She would really do well with anyone, but because she loves attention, she would do great with a couple. If I didn't have so many dogs, cattle and horses, I would keep her, but I just can't.
