PLEASE READ ABOUT PAXTON We are searching for a family for Paxton who can foster him until he's ready to be adopted. Paxton will need a family who has some dog experience and who can handle a big, strong boy. He's very well-behaved and loving and snuggly. His only vice is the leash. He likely had some traumatic experience before he came to us and he's not a huge fan of having a leash on or having it taken off. He's been staying with one of our training teams, and they've made huge progress with him. He has come so far, but he'll need someone who can continue working with him. Without the leash, Paxton is a big ol' goofball. He loves belly rubs and is such a sweetheart. He enjoys playing with toys, and he's a huge fan of snacks. Paxton is a handsome boy and just wants to be your best friend. We would like to find a family who would like to foster Paxton while he finishes up his training and care. He will be able to be formally adopted once he's finished everything ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Meet Chuck! He's seven years old, 65 pounds and 100% lovable. Unfortunately, Chuck's family travels too much and can no longer care for him. Legacy Humane Society is helping them find a new family who can give Chuck the time and attention he deserves.  Chuck is house trained and can is trusted to roam his home when alone. He loves going for walks, rides well in the car, and loves playing in water/swimming. He is perfectly fine to relax around the house but has plenty of energy for playtime as well.  He would do best in a home with another dog and is great with kids. Chuck is a gentle boy who loves being with people but can get a little nervous when he's left alone for long periods of time.  He's neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Mr. Blue is a sweet, senior, and incredibly smart dog who has been part of our family for the past eight years. He was once first on the euthanasia list, but we rescued him and gave him the life he deserved. As our family has grown with little ones, it has become increasingly difficult to give him the same quality of life he once enjoyed. He thrives on dog parks, beaches, long walks, and plenty of attention. I am looking for a person or couple who has the time, space, and heart to give him the love and adventure he’s used to. I will cover all of his healthcare costs for the rest of his life. My only goal is to find him a truly loving home. He is fully vaccinated and currently has no known medical concerns. He’s neutered, house trained, crate trained, and does very well with children. He regularly socializes with three familiar dogs, though he can show aggression toward unfamiliar large male dogs. Meet Lady! She's is about 18 months old pup, possibly labrador retriever mixed with Rhodesian Ridgeback, a little Black Mouth Cur, maybe part hound and who knows what else. She was found on the side of a rural road and kept with her rescuer for five months before joining her Cody's foster. She's a good girl and is working on confidence-building and manners. She loves other dogs and would do great with fur sibings to show her the ropes. Lady likes cats, but maybe too much for their liking (the foster's cats' new favorite sound is "hssss"). Ms. Lady needs a strong owner whowill continue her training. She's 47 pounds and potty trained with few accidents. She's also crate trained and enjoys lounging in there when she's not cuddling with you. Lady will do great with a yard and people who love her.
