Story
This sweetheart is in search of their forever home. Meet Pumpkin! We think she is a rottie-corgi mix. She weighs about 35-40 pounds. Pumpkin is a silly, sweet, happy girl who is not slowed down by her joints! She has a luxating patella and mild hip dysplasia. Her joints are likely the result of poor breeding practices, but her condition can be relatively easily well managed. She does have intermittent lameness - this lameness is caused by her patella (knee cap) popping out place, which causes her to then skip/hop to "kick it back into place. This doesn't appear to be painful for her, just more awkward looking than anything haha. She recovers quickly and then is back to trotting on her thick but short legs! She may not ever be a marathon runner, but she can happily enjoy a normal dog life and would love to be your couch potato buddy. She isn't phased by her knee and even hops up easily on to the couch for snuggles. She is super sweet, loves to give kisses and cuddle. And she is even very well behaved for car rides and walks. So far she has gotten along well with other dogs in the foster home and is doing well with a slow introduction to cats. She is also crate trained and potty trained. She knows sit, stay and come! She is a smart cookie! Could she be your next best friend? She is estimated to be 1 year old (as of 2/2024) (Estimated birthdate is 02/08/2023) and is: -Spayed -Microchipped -Vaccinated (up to date for their age) -Dewormed -Come with a lifetime supply of love Please email info@soulanimalshelter.org if interested in adopting! As we are run by full time veterinary students and veterinarians, we appreciate your patience. We strive to answer your email as soon as possible (usually within 24 hours); however please allow for 2-4 business days pending class/case loads. SWEET, Rottie Girl Seeks Home for the HolidaysAll dogs are located in southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox just south of interstate 10. It is approximately 1 hour east of Tucson and 2 1/2 hours from Tempe. Please contact Carrie at fedwellfarm@yahoo.com or 602-316-8919 (no texts please) Sweets, whose official name she came to Fedwell Farm was changed to Sweets from CutieFly as she is the sweetest! Our volunteer suggested the name and Sweets just responded with a big grin. Sweets was picked up as a stray by the county animal control and when no one came to claim her, Fedwell Farm was asked if we would help her. We are so happy we did. She is a magnificent, sweet and wonderful girl. Sweets is approximately 5 years old. She weighs approximately 82 pounds. Sweets is very scared in new situations. She hangs back and waits for things to settle and then she is your best friend forever! Sweets walks well on a leash and just wants a family to love her. We are not 100 percent sure she is a Rottie mix, but we believe so. We specialize in herding dogs and hounds. Please come meet Sweets!!!!! She just wants a family to feel safe and loved. We would love to have Sweets in a home for the upcoming holidays! 602-316-8919 (no texts please)April 30, 2024, 4:25 pm

Sweet Senior Rottweiler MixAll dogs are located in southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox south of Interstate 10. Approximately 2 1/2 drive from the Phoenix area or 1 hour east of Tucson. Please let Carrie know if you have any questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet. 602-316-8919 (no texts please) or fedwellfarm@yahoo.com Henry came to Fedwell Farm as a boy that needed medical help. Poor Henry was listed as a 'hospice' dog at the shelter. He just needed a dental!!! He was losing weight because his teeth hurt. They had to pull so many teeth that his tongue kind of hangs out at times, but he eats dry kibble and is ahappy boy! Henry is a healthy boy waiting for his forever home! Henry is a 9-year-old Rottweiler mix. We weighs 70 pounds approximately and he looks GREAT!!!! Henry is a big love; he just wants to be close to his people. Henry lives for his cream cheese treat every morning! He gets along with other dogs, he uses the dog door, and he has excellent manners. Henry still loves a ball and a toy. He is a happy boy that deserves a forever family that will love him for the rest of his time. Henry is lower energy and would be happy watching Animal Planet while his family is at work or school. He will always love a walk, but he is happy to snuggle on the sofa as well. Henry would do well in an apartment, he does not require a lot of exercise, he is happy to hang out until his family comes back from a day of school or work. Please come meet Henry. 602-316-8919 (no texts please)    April 30, 2024, 4:25 pm

Story
Meet Momma Athena! She was rescued from the shelter and had her pups in her foster mom's home. Now that the pups are moving on to their furever homes, Athena would like her own furever fairy tale ending too! She's a very nice and sweet dog. Momma Athena is young, but she is incredibly loyal and fiercely protective. She is sweet, gentle, affectionate and obedient. She loves to cuddle and is a very fast learner, she lives to please. She is potty trained, rambunctious, loves to play fetch and tug of war. She has some food aggression with her foster mom's dog but will quickly back off when told no. She is unfortunately extremely afraid of men (even gentle and kind men) & was probably traumatized by a man in her past. She would do best with female (& children) households only. She has had her first shots. Currently Athena is available for pre-adoption until her spay in mid July. Once spayed, she'll be ready to head home with you. Please contact the rescue if you'd like to meet Momma Athena or for more information.
